- Developed a model for the vessel and cargo emissions product. Based on an advanced ship resistance model combined with one determining engine load percentage.

Junior Marine Product Analyst

SMIT Salvage

-Complied 2D drawings and 3D models to perform stability analysis of the casualty vessel. Cross referencing this with stability booklet of the vessel. This contributed to the Methodology Plan for the casualty vessel rescue/recovery operations. 

- Prepared documents for emergency tows of disabled ships. This consisted of: 

1. Towing calculations: This encompassed determining the bollard pull needed to tow the ship, which subsequently allows us to select the right tug. This also included factoring in variables such as weather and dynamic forces.  

2. Towing arrangement drawings. Where towing gear to be used was selected for the project. This helped the towing tug prepare for the mission accordingly.

Assistant Naval Architect

Responsibilites included:
- Compilation and analysis of freight invoices of voyages, carrying consignments of various fractional distillates of oil and biofuels around the world, which were undertaken by tankers mainly chartered by BP shipping. This also involves communicating with shipbrokers as well as with members in the voyage operations and vessel chartering teams in order to facilitate timely payment of claims to the ship owners as well as other parties such as port authorities, tugboat and pilot operators.  
-Helped to develop a business case study to streamline, digitalise and automate the process of creation and payment of cargo freight and ancillary payments, demonstrating potential savings in labour input and costs associated with the process. As well as implementation of the findings. 
- Involved in outreach in social upliftment of persons with apparent and non-apparent disabilities, as well as opening up employment and internship opportunities for said persons as part of BP’s Disability Business Resource Group.

Graduate Intern, shipping

PaxOcean

Undergone an internship at the commercial newbuild department.

Responsibilities included:
-Liasing with original equipment manufacturers and distributors of shipboard equipment and systems, as well as facilitating to compile the optimum pricing and equipment specifications for a newbuild vessel tender floated out by the owner.
- Compilation and accounting of marine cargo insurance of materials, machinery and components between Singapore and PaxOcean's shipyards in Batam Island, Indonesia.

Intern

A graduate in the discipline of Naval Architecture, I also have a huge interest in the marine transport business segment. I hope to apply and practice the acquired theoretical knowledge of ship design as well as the latest in marine technology and marine transport business in this sector. In doing so I aspire to help ship owners, shipping operators and ship management companies can reap the maximum benefits out of them. 

I also aspire towards a meaningful career in areas such as business innovations, crew and passenger safety on board vessels and getting involved in helping shipping companies incorporate sustainable practices for a cleaner and greener planet for years to come.

With a great drive to decarbonize, I am also incredibly passionate about bringing alternative fuels to shipping, especially biofuels, which also contributes to a circular economy.
