You can’t change my mind about this statement, You have a unique story to tell. Period. Now, I won’t argue about if you wish to tell it to the world or not. It’s entirely up to you. But, if you truly feel, or even for a moment, you’ve felt that you have something worthwhile to offer to this world… And you’ve held yourself back from talking about it on social media just because you thought there’s nothing special about your experiences, your offer, your work… Or you’ve felt like everybody else is an expert except you, I want you to answer this question, Can you write a line exactly the same way someone else has written it? Without changing a single curve or stroke in any of the alphabets? No. Then, what makes you think your story is just like anyone else or there’s nothing new to it? But I hear you. We may not realize the worth or impact of our work, cause we’re used to seeing it from a first-person view… Some 7-8 months ago when I started my journey here, I too had these doubts. I used to feel how I have nothing worthwhile to say, my experiences are mundane… Or I just can’t say something that hasn’t been said before. There may be some truth to this, I don’t know. But I had this faith, deep faith in life and its ways, and my love for writing with me. And as I kept going, I realized the power of mundane-looking stories… It’s not their whats i.e. what actually happened, but their hows (how one experiences life) and the whos (who the characters are as a person) which makes a story unique. And gradually, the readers have also started to recognize what I wish to bring through my work. I realized this when I began to receive some work inquiries and words like these… Sanya, a fellow writer and email marketer said, “It might seem like I'm prying too much but I really like your work & sincerity, and you seem like a person I can easily partner or collaborate with.” So I continue to write…for me and for others. And if you too feel like sharing your work and voice on LinkedIn, but don't have a way with words, send a DM. Even if you’re not sure about this yet, I’d encourage you to do it. Let’s see if it works for you. Won’t we?
