As a writer, producer and autism mom, I love merging my storytelling skills and parenting experiences to help create a more inclusive world. Let's talk about how we can make that happen - together. A former writer/producer for Nickelodeon, Nick at Nite and TV Land, I pivoted when my son was diagnosed with autism, and have spent the past two decades writing and speaking about the experiences of parenting an autistic child. As an advocate for increased autism awareness and acceptance, I co-authored “Chicken Soup for the Soul: Raising Kids on the Spectrum", and have shared our family's story with NPR, The Baltimore Sun, and on multiple panels for schools, community organizations and media companies. My primary objective is helping my son build a happy, productive life.
