Credit Exposure and Pricing Strategist

LiftFund

- Developed LiftFund’s first portfolio risk rating model, trained on loan repayment variables to predict an active loan’s probability of default. 
- Led cross-functional project revamping 3 business loan products incorporating alternative data sources and a customer-centric approach. This resulted in loan production of $13MM, ~30% reduction in throughput time, and 0% early default rate in year 1.
- Led multi-department project to productionalize LevelFi, a risk assessment tool for prospective loan applicants and lead referral partners.
- Conducted 18 presentations regarding loan product training, risk model releases and data-driven changes to policy.

Data Scientist

- Exceeded portfolio quality goals managing $70MM business loan portfolio, while advancing key technology improvements and overseeing a team of 3 collections agents.
- Oversaw the disbursement of ~$10M in CARES Act pandemic relief funds through payment and balance forgiveness programs. 
- Automated the skip-a-pay workflow, reducing average processing times from 3 days to 30 minutes. This automation helped support a surge in requests at the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, where 1/3 of all active borrowers requested a payment extension.
- Collaborated with BI team to transition all portfolio quality reporting from MS Excel to PowerBI.

Director of Portfolio & Risk Management

Microloan Management System (MMS) is a loan origination software powered by LiftFund, available for licensure to other CDFIs and community lenders.

- Served as subject matter expert on loan decisioning models and logic. 
- Led an executive team designing and implementing a loan product for returning customers, resulting in $4MM loan production and 70+ customers retained with 5X faster processing time.
- Participated in agile digital transformation project writing user stories, analyzing user feedback to inform feature design, and performing data migration QA.
- Created dynamic KPI dashboards for Underwriting and Closing teams.
- Continued underwriting small business loans and mentored incoming underwriters.

Risk Analyst & MMS Product Manager

- Evaluated credit reports, collateral documentation, and financial statements to make credit decisions on 40 loan applications per month requesting amounts up to $250K.
- Prioritized a smooth customer experience for prospective borrowers by collaborating thoughtfully with 11 loan processors to gather missing documents and information from applicants.

- Developed replicable processes for data collection and reporting, reaching 99% financial reporting accuracy.
