I was wrong about "success" for a long time. 

I genuinely thought it was the top chart. 

And then, I "arrived": 

- Head of x
- Fairly big check
- Travel, points, status, etc. 

Honestly, I was miserable and it was not fulfilling. 

So, I have been living without a corporate job now for 5 years.

Here is how my life has changed: 

- More time for me, and my family.
- Doing things I love - serving, sharing.
- Weight training, Long runs, 1hr meditations.
- Smaller checks but more wealthy (physical, time, social).

It's been a journey of self-discovery and embracing new mindsets. 
I see many making that transition now as AI & Automation catches on. 

So, though reluctant, I plan to share more of my journey beyond 9 x 5.
Hopefully, it helps someone...

RPA is faster in development but needs 3 to 6x more support. 

Some things that can help: 

* Have bots do initial "self heal" - improves dev-to-bot support ratio.

* Consider using more efficient bot management tools/systems.

* Regularly rotate RPA developers between dev and support.

* Establish RPA career paths for professional development.

* Increase RPA developers through university programs.

The "New" Process Mining Quadrant from Gartner. 

Mostly the same with some movement:

- Same top 3 leaders - Celonis, Software AG, SAP
- UiPath, Microsoft, and Appian move to the leader quadrant.
- Also see new players. I see Skan enter and poised to be a leader next year.   

Observations:
- The space seems to be maturing and converging (Process Mining, Task Mining, Process intelligence, etc.)
- With Gen AI new forms of mining (e.g. Communication mining) are being added. Stop that! 
- I hear more players say that Process optimization > Automation.

How Jaison Used RPA & IDP To Revolutionize Healthcare, Achieving a 70% Productivity Boost.

He had to process 70,000 patient records daily including handwritten patient data.
It had to then be verified across 10 applications, and uploaded to multiple platforms.

He used UiPath Document Understanding for accurate data extraction.
MuleSoft for system integration, and over 300 RPA bots for rapid data processing.

The result was increased productivity by up to 70%.
