Here are 20 important points that I learned over time. I hope they provide some perspective and help.

1. As a fresher, don't run after a big package. Focus on building skills. Money will come eventually.

2. Your career will grow faster if your seniors and mentors support you and provide enough opportunities.

3. Be a problem solver. Solve anything that comes your way, even if it's completely new. That's an opportunity.

4. Building Trust is pretty important. Your manager and seniors should trust you with any work.

5. Coding is not enough, you have to master other skills to grow in your career. One of the most important skills is communication and leadership.

6. Working hard is not enough, you are responsible for making your efforts visible.

7. Everybody likes proactive people. Solve problems before someone points them out to you.

8. Always think about the bigger picture.

9. Don't shy away in meetings, speak up, and be a courageous communicator.

10. Visibility is a powerful tool that helps you grow.

11. Productive 1:1s with your manager and seniors are very beneficial for your career growth and building connections.

12. You should have people around you whom you look up to.

13. Not everyone will like you, so don't waste your energy trying to impress them. Surround yourself with people who uplift you and your energy.

14. As you grow in your career, you have to be a multiplier.

15. Avoid being spoon-fed, as it hampers your learning and people do not appreciate it.

16. The IT field is small, you will cross paths with people sooner or later. Good relationships always help.

17. Networking is important. Talking to different people gives you different perspectives and inspires you.

18. You will make mistakes, but how you handle them sets you apart.

19. Do not underestimate the power of receiving and giving early feedback.

20. You should put in extra effort during your notice period. it shows your commitment and leaves a lasting impression.
