Hi, I am Narasimham Jammi, Founder and CEO of Jammi Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd. I grew up in a traditional family that has practiced and continues to practice Ayurveda for the past 127 years (and counting). Naturally, it has always been a part of my life since childhood. Even though my training has been in the western sciences, I was drawn towards Ayurveda during my latter years. After completing my Ph.D. in Biological Chemistry from the University of Utah, and Postdoctoral Research from Stanford University, I decided to head home to work in the Indian biotechnology industry. I developed and launched an AIDS enumerating kit during my stint with ReaMetrix India Pvt Ltd., after which I was the SBU Head of Biotechnology for Shasun Biosciences. I successfully launched India's first indigenous recombinant streptokinase. I switched fields in 2011, when I made the decision to utilize my research expertise in understanding Ayurveda at the molecular level. Since then my career has focused on Ayurveda and we as a company mainly concentrate on finding Ayurvedic cures for all diseases from head to toe. We are especially interested in "orphaned" diseases where other systems of medicine do not have solutions. We primarily strive to serve people by providing them with affordable medicines and treatments without undesirable side effects. Our vision is to be recognised as pioneers in popularizing Ayurvedic treatments. We aim to do this by communicating this esoteric science in the lingua franca of present-day society.
