As a Career Growth Specialist, my mission is to train and mentor First Time Managers to empower their voice, present with impact, to create personal brand and achieve career success. While I was an introvert during my school days, I was made fun at and felt really nervous to speak on stage. Yet I did not realise how important it was to be confident in speaking in public. It was only when I was in the 13th grade that I did my public speaking course and mentored which brought a sudden transformation in my personality. From there on there was no looking back, though my confidence was shattered in one of my corporate stints. Learning the lessons from there I worked hard to regain my confidence and was back speaking and conducting training in the organisation. A Learning and Development professional with 28 years Corporate experience and a certified NLP practitioner from ANLP, Goa. My core competencies are in areas of HR - Training and Development, Talent Induction, Knowledge Management, Change Management, Employee Engagement. I helped in branding the HR Dept. of my company through newsletters highlighting the various initiatives undertaken by HR and this was an initiative which was never undertaken in the company. However, transformation again happened when I was in the HR Learning & Development assignment of my company. I got various opportunities to speak and train 1000 plus employees, right from Front Line Managers to the Senior Management. This gave a boost to my confidence and changed my outlook. Therefore, as corporate professionals one needs to speak confidently, deliver presentations which will enhance your performance and help to achieve career success. As human, we work like machines doing mundane work and as meetings take away of our time, there is really no time to think creatively and do work differently. Think creatively and work differently.
