Finance Director reporting directly to the board and PE investors, responsible for day to day operations of the business overseeing credit & risk, payroll and day to day accounts. 

Providing strategic and commercial evaluations on future acquisitions whilst implementing existing and new processes within the current acquisitions to reduce cost, risk and exposure.

Responsible for all core central functions including financial planning, payroll, accounts and credit control and risk providing key management support and regular personnel / business reviews.

Implementation of new pay and bill systems & accounting systems minimizing risk and noise within the weekly processing schedules. 

Refinanced the group's IDF from a £10m to £15m facility limit and minimizing risk around uninsured debt and aged debt to allow for effective working capital. 

Cash flow forecasting to identify crucial points within the year to focus on cash collection and revenue growth whilst identify new revenue streams.

Bringing the management accounts within a 30 day cycle (previously was 90 days) and providing the business with departmentalized P&L's whilst identifying risk to profitability. 

Stakeholder management including review of suppliers and procurement reducing OPEX costs and obtaining further commercial benefits

Finance Director

Providing commercial insight to the board/owners on sales and profit growth strategies in support of their desire to seek an exit within a 3 year window, which was achieved

Tracking all agreed plans to ensure successful execution, working closely with the main board on a daily basis

Responsible for all core central functions including financial planning, payroll, accounts and credit control providing key management support and regular personnel / business reviews.

Creating a dynamic trading approach to the business whilst managing operations expectations and reviewing new business opportunities.

Managing the group cash flow (IDF facility - 
£70m) and all banking relationship to ensure covenants and management information are met and reported timely whilst keeping a very strong and frequent dialogue with key personnel.

Creating a strong/fact based decision making ethos with clear milestones and outcomes.

Executing new business plans and processes (pre & post acquisition) i.e. software implementation / cost control vs productivity.

Responsible for the auditing process partnering with the external audit team including all business statutory and tax affairs.

Heavily involved in the due-diligence of the recent acquisition of TSG. Supporting the CFO/CEO providing key financial and operational analysis to the acquirers within set timescales and achieving all objectives. Managing post acquisition implementation and processes.

Lead the CJRS throughout the trading entities and produce / manage the CJRS claims in a timely fashion ensuring.

Supporting the operational team with new business tenders from a financial perspective ensuring ROI is in line with expectations whilst ensuring credit terms and debt levels/concentration are within acceptable parameters.

Director of Finance

Building and creating a new financial planning team into the business. Responsible for all financial planning for the group whilst playing a key part in stakeholder management and partnering and providing strategic analysis to the board.
 
Managing the group annual budget process for ultimate approval by the main board.

Support the CFO with the recent refinancing agreement providing detailed customer analysis whilst partnering with external stakeholders to supply key information.

Lead a full procurement review with external consultancy reducing annual opex savings of circa £0.5m whilst ensuring minimal disruption to the business.

Create and provide detailed commentary in the monthly management account packs to all directors/chairman reviewing key financial metrics and identifying areas of concerns in opex costs and debt levels whilst celebrating success.

 Business partnering with key departments and senior operations/directors in providing and presenting strong analytical MI with financials to both a financial and non-financial audience.

Working alongside head office payroll to assist in the calculation of bonuses for directors and consultants ensuring compliances failures are applied where necessary.

Working actively alongside the IT department with the continuous development of reporting procedures and tools to ensure data accuracy and reporting.

Financial Planning and Analysis Manager

Collating, reconciling, analysing and identifying areas for improvement using data provided in the month end and other reports.

Collating and analysing key performance indicator information and investigating anomalies
reviewing costs within the organisation from the finance system and presenting data for cost saving opportunities.

Working alongside the Payroll Manager to perform analysis of payroll costs to include sickness, annual leave patterns, absence and overtime and identify opportunities for potential savings.

Supporting the Director of Operations in analysing shift patterns and supporting development and implementation of any improved patterns.

Carrying out ad hoc financial analysis to support the Finance Manager in identifying cost saving opportunities.

Carrying out financial analysis to support the budget and forecasting process.

Carrying out project analysis, reporting, collating, managing information and performing reconciliations as required.

Presenting the key financial data and management information for all divisions after the month end and to respond to queries with the Finance Manager.

Providing support with tender submissions.

Supporting the Finance Manager with administrative duties when required and to provide cover to other finance functions when requested to do so.

Financial Analyst

To complete and enter correctly new starters (P46's), employees who have left (P45's) on a weekly basis.

To issue cheques or to process fast payment for the deduction of attach of earning on a monthly basis.
To process BACS recalls; stop cheques etc for the region if necessary.

To make payment via BACS/CHAPS on Internet bank system if necessary.

To develop lasting relationships with operations and communicate effectively.

To ensure all new procedures are documented and stored appropriately at financial/tax year-end.
