Specialising in Power BI data model development and performance enhancement, interested in making slow things go faster. Currently working with Redkite as the Power BI lead on a large client engagement, involving a complex solution with high data volumes and tight data refresh / report performance criteria. Previously providing a fully encompassing Power BI and SQL capability to one of NZ’s largest Primary Health Organisation / General Practice Networks. Previously completed assignments with Adatis, Alix Partners, British American Tobacco, and IMGROUP. Project capabilities: • Requirements gathering, design, solution development, testing, deployment and user training. • Experience with BI specific project methodologies as well as Kimball dimensional modelling techniques. • Extensive experience as a client facing consultant over many years (Cap Gemini / DPR Consulting / IMGROUP, Alix Partners). • Team leading experience of development and support teams, and in working with offshore development teams. • Fully equipped for remote working (and have done so for longer than the pandemic). • Finance (Retail Banking), Media, Manufacturing, Health sector experience. Recent Power Bi Solutions include: • A ground-breaking 360 view of General Practice performance. • An income modelling tool to allow Practice businesses to see the effects of changes in fees and client populations. • Various reports to allow clinical project managers to view the performance of their health delivery projects. • District level views of population health data relating to Diabetes and Covid19 that are accessed by external funding organisations. • Increasing the efficiency / cost reduction of data ingestion. • Use of PowerShell and the Power BI Rest API to automate system audit and monitoring tools.
