Completed my first AI Automation workshop

What sending 10k+ emails taught me so far

I've worked on email campaigns for growing brands.

Health. Supplements. Fashion.

I'm still learning.
But sending over 10,000 emails 
Taught me a few things the hard way.

At the beginning, 
I focused too much on the product.

Features. Descriptions.
Details that felt important from the brand's side.

What became clear over time was this:
Customers don't care about features first.

They care about outcomes. 
They care about how their life improves after buying.

Another lesson came from welcome emails.

That first message sets expectations.

And it's surprisingly easy to waste that moment.

I also learned how emotion and logic work together.

Emotion creates interest. 
Logic helps people justify the decision.

Both need to be there.

Consistency mattered more than I expected.

Showing up regularly built familiarity. 
Silence made brands forgettable.

And follow-ups taught me patience.

Most results didn't come from the first email.

I learned most of this by getting things wrong first.

Neither did pushing deadlines.

I finally fixed authentication.

Inbox placement had been shaky even with good content.
Copy wasn’t the problem.
Design wasn’t the problem.
Authentication was.

I kept tweaking subject lines.
I tested send times.
I rewrote CTAs.
Nothing changed.

Then I looked at my domain setup.
SPF didn’t match what I was sending.
DKIM was set up incorrectly.
DMARC wasn’t set at all.

Inbox providers didn’t trust my domain.
 So they pushed my emails down.

Once SPF, DKIM, and DMARC were set correctly, 
Rrust improved right away.
No content changes.
No design overhaul.
Just authentication done properly.

Now, deliverability is handled before the copy even gets a shot.
If the basics are broken, the message never reaches the page.

Check authentication before you send more.
If your domain isn’t trusted, higher volume 
Just makes the problem bigger.

Check your DNS records.
Confirm SPF.
Confirm DKIM.
Set DMARC.
Lock down access.
