I'm a results-driven performance marketer with expertise in SEO, PPC and content marketing across B2B & B2C industries (Lead Gen). I also have past experiences in social media marketing, partnerships, PR and as an entrepreneur. MY JOURNEY Somebody once told me that I have had the most 'exotic' career path. I was once a mental health therapist where I met people from all walks of life; listened to their deepest, darkest secrets daily, and 'cured' them from depression to OCD. Somewhere down the road, I was bitten by the entrepreneurial bug and took the leap to start a bridal boutique. We were the 'rebel' boutique offering a very new genre then of non-princess, modern wedding dresses (which is now the prevailing trend). Through SEO, partnerships, PR and social media marketing, I built the business into an established bridal brand. While I loved growing and marketing the business, I did not enjoy fighting endless operational fires and doing A-Z. So I took another leap and sold the business to move into digital marketing full time. Fast forward to now, I am finally doing what I love as a digital marketer and it has never felt more right. Some people are fortunate to discover their passions early on, while others took a winding journey filled with twists and turns. And that’s perfectly okay, too. And strangely, many skills I gained through my 'exotic' careers came in handy today as a marketer: 1. From having been a therapist, I possess sharp empathy and sensitivity people's needs. This helps me to design marketing strategies that are highly in tune with audience needs 2. Having built a business for five years was the hardest 'job' I have ever had. But it taught me a strong business acumen, resilience (NOTHING is impossible), hustle and a wealth of other skills that could never be gained from a normal degree/job. 3. Having been a business owner, I learned how the bottom line is really the only thing that matters, and what all marketing efforts need to be evaluated by. I am able to consider the wider P & L, business perspective, and continually strives to maximise margins & profit while reducing marketing costs.
