I believe we can improve health care faster and more effectively together with team-based, compassionate care that is human-centered and system sustainable. We can strive for this goal using design thinking, data analytics with purpose, care plan co-design with patients and clinicians, and continuous learning and improvement across individuals, teams, and organizations. Over the course of 12 years in Delaware, I experienced Gastroenterology private practice, endoscopy center co-ownership, and diverse health system physician leadership roles and experiences. Over time, I started to explore cross-training and experiential learning opportunities with health care start-up company partners. In August 2020, I joined the Intermountain Health team in a system level Gastroenterology physician leader role with a combination of leadership and clinical care responsibilities.
