I am a business focused Executive Leader and Legal Professional with a passion for servant leadership. I have a broad range of business expertise and legal knowledge including business operations, intellectual property, complex contract review and negotiation, licensing agreements, labor and employment law, International law, data privacy and GDPR, and Human Resource talent development. I worked as the General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer for Crisis Prevention Institute, Inc. ("CPI") for 5+ years. I started at CPI Oct 2016, I was promoted to General Counsel Jan 2019, and Chief Compliance Officer April 2020. At CPI I was responsible for providing all forms of Legal Advice to the CEO and Executive team including topics regarding M&A, Negotiation Tactics, Labor & Employment, Intellectual Property, Contract and License drafting, Business Law, and Corporate Compliance, Human Resources, Leadership Coaching, Legislative Research. I am a graduate of Marquette University Law School where I focused my studies on Intellectual Property Law. I was a member of the IP Law Review and wrote an article on Gene Patentability which was published in the 2016 IP Law Journal. While in Law school I was a board member for the Student Bar Association, staff member of the Intellectual property law review, secretary of the intellectual property law society, and a member sports law society. I received my Bachelor's Degree from the University of Arizona in the field of Molecular and Cellular Biology. I also received Minor Degrees in Chemistry and Classics. I worked in a Cardiovascular Research Lab performing cardiac ultrasounds on mice. Additionally I was the recipient of an American Heart Association Fellowship Grant while in school. Community Involvement: I coached and was a board member for North Central Little League. I was selected to coach the U11 North central allstar team the summer of 2015 and helped guide the team to a district 1 championship and state championship 2nd place finish.
