The LawTech society is an organization that brings about inquisition for Legal Technology within the minds of law students by hosting biweekly webinars with leading industry professionals and an annual hackathon comprising of new legal technology pitches, the winning idea of which will be fully funded by the society.

As the Representative for Scotland on the Executive Board, I am responsible for overseeing all of our operations in Scotland.

After growing the LegalTech function of the Aberdeen University Law Society, I became the Societies Representative to build relationships with other societies on campus and improve the student experience. 

My main responsibilities are:
- Establish, maintain and grow relationships with other societies at the University of Aberdeen.
- Organise events and socials with other societies.
- Inform students of all law-related society opportunities at the University of Aberdeen.

I was elected the 'Legal Tech Rep' for the University of Aberdeen Law Society for my deep interest in Legal Tech and aim to encourage students to learn about how technology is changing the legal profession.

My main responsibilities were: 
- To work with the innovation departments of law firms to organise educational events for students, lecturers and lawyers at the University of Aberdeen on the subjects of: AI, data science, machine learning, blockchain and Legal Technology.
- To work with the University of Aberdeen School of Law faculty to promote and develop Legal Tech education for future LLB and DPLP programmes.
- Connect with the Society of Computers and Law, and other organisations, to promote Legal Tech education at the University of Aberdeen.

Following a job as a Christmas temp on checkouts in Tesco, I was offered a job as a customer assistant with Tesco Mobile. Joining the team I was trained in; sales, customer interactions and technology skills working with mobile phones. I have since assisted all manner of customers, which has developed my interpersonal and problem solving skills.

I am currently a trainee solicitor at Addleshaw Goddard LLP with a keen interest in finance, banking, investment and technology. While at university, I co-founded legal education organisation Law School 2.0 which has educated more than 3000 people in 54+ countries around the world to date. I have also spent time working at various LegalTech start-ups in application development, customer success and business development roles.
