Sherwin-Williams

Responsible for selling coatings and specifying systems for a wide variety of corrosive environments and industries including Marine, Bridge & Highway, Food & Beverage, Oil & Gas, Water & Wastewater, Pulp & Paper, Power Generation, Mining, Steel Fabrication, Rail, and Fire Protection.

P&M Coatings Representative

Responsible for selling products and recommending solutions to commercial customers.
Duties included:
• Calling on current customers, cold calling perspective customers, developing and delivering presentations, and closing sales
• Ensuring customer satisfaction and building positive long-term relationships with them
• Conducting training sessions for store employees
• Developing and implementing an annual sales plan
• Establishing ongoing rapport with customers and prospects through a consistent calling effort
• Negotiating pricing and resolving complaints
• Analyzing market conditions

PC Sales Representative

Focused on sales development and oversaw all operations ensuring the store’s profitability. Duties included:
• Ensuring the satisfaction of both commercial and do-it-yourself customers and building positive long-term relationships with them
• Analyzing market conditions: competition, trends, issues, and opportunities
• Handling the financial aspects of the position, such as managing the Profit & Loss statement
• Scheduling staff, managing employee issues, and delegating responsibilities 
• Training, coaching, and mentoring employees
• Training manager for employees in the Manager Training Program
• Handling inside and outside sales including developing a sales plan for the store and a process for lead-sharing
• Supervising store merchandising, inventory, stock rotation and replenishment, and housekeeping functions
• Ensuring that the accounts payable and receivable functions were handled appropriately
• Ensuring that safety, security, and loss prevention practices were followed

Market Manager

Handled day-to-day store operations and other responsibilities that enabled the store manager to focus on sales development and outside sales activities. Duties included:
• Ensuring the satisfaction of both wholesale and do-it-yourself customers and building positive long-term relationships with them
• Selling, including helping the store manager develop the store’s annual sales plan
• Handling the store’s accounts receivable function
• Building customer loyalty by providing outstanding service, following through on commitments, and establishing rapport with customers
• Communicating effectively with customers, employees, and other business partners
• Making decisions regarding pricing, credit, and other customer issues
• Managing time and resources effectively

Assistant Manager

Three phase program designed to help develop the interpersonal skills vital to building lasting relationships with customers and teaches everything you need to know about products, processes, and procedures to become an effective store manager.
• Phase I - On-The-Job Training focuses on five main functional areas: Product Knowledge, Customer Service, Human Resourses, Marketing, and Financial/Operations Management
• Phase II - Division Training in classroom setting at corporate headquarters where you interact with peers and division managment
• Phase III - Placement in your own store/branch, where you take on the role of Assistant Manager

Manager in Training

Assisted customers in selecting decorative products such as paint and wallcovering, conducted on site color consultations, and demonstrated decorating techniques. Other duties included tinting and mixing paint, merchandise inventory, and assisting management in the daily operation of the business.

Sales Associate

Twelve week program designed to help develop necessary skills and core competencies requried of store managment.  Received training in:
• Sales/Customer Service – ensured that wholesale and retail customers have everything they need to successfully complete their job 
• Marketing/Merchandising – learned the plan-o-gram and pricing systems 
• Product Knowledge – paints, applicators, spray equipment, and associated products 
• Inventory Management – rates of sale, stock replenishment, inventory turnover 
• Financial Reports – profit and loss statements, analytical reports 
• Accounts Receivable – operation of a trial balance, credit terms, collections 
• Operations Management – delivery scheduling, competitive product analysis

Intern

My mission is to add tremendous value to my team and to our clients. But maybe not how you might think.

At a time where transactional business is taking over all industries and everything is results driven, it is my goal to be different. To be relational.
