Director, Customer Innovation

As the Head of Transformation at Aegon UK, I am responsible for identifying, initiating and leading the execution of strategic change (transformative) initiatives for Aegon UK.

I am a skilled digital leader and transformation strategist, with the ability to identify and prioritise opportunities for transformation, effectively communicate and mixing experience of Strategy, Delivery and Technology, execute on plans. 

I am comfortable operating at both the strategic and tactical levels and have a proven ability to build and lead high-performing teams.

In my current role, I am responsible for leading the company's digital transformation efforts, specifics include, the implementation of a new product-focused delivery model and the creation of new business and product lines.

Founded the capability and team for AUK and mixed strategy, product, technology and creativity to build and deliver exceptional experiences.

Head of Service Design

Product owner with end to end responsibly for the Aegon mobile app. In this role:

• I am responsible for defining, creating and communicating both product vision and roadmap.

• I manage the creation, maintenance and prioritisation of a mixed product backlog.

• I lead a cross-functional team which includes UX, Visual Design, Analysis, Engineering, and Test.

• I work closely with executive management to align and inform the product vision, strategy, features, and prioritisation.

• I turn data insights into products and features with actionable outcomes for the end customer.

• I work with operational management to define the overall app service, support, and monitoring for customers.

• I lead the product functional design process based on a strong knowledge of the users and technology.

• I define and execute the go-to-market plan, working to ensure that, marketing and distribution have what they need to be successful.

Product Owner: Mobile

As an initial hire (1 of 3) into a new team, in partnership with senior management, we created and established an internal consultancy function in which I supported a range of initiatives in relation to Aegon’s transformation, strategy and vision. Specific areas of personal focus to date include:

· Conducting primary and secondary research (customer and market).
· Identification and assessment of digital business model options.
· Identification and articulation of both growth and optimisation levers.
· Creation of board materials to support presentation of initial strategy.
· Developing a network of fintechs for Aegon to work with and learn from.
· Delivery of AI based OCR proof of concept.
· Product ownership for Pension Dashboard.

Business Architect

Solution architect designing, defining and governing the development of solutions to meet business needs across a range of high profile projects including:

· MIFID II (lead architect responsible for all solutions).
· GDPR (lead architect responsible for all solutions).
· Statements (lead architect responsible for the design of a statement solution).
· Cofunds Integration (responsible for retained data solutions).
· Creation and launch of a startup investment company, Aegon Investments LTD
(responsible for all technology decisions and activities).

This role also required me to design the future state of core technologies in line with business strategy and chair the technical design authority.

With a background in technology, transformation and Financial Services combined with a love for the sport, I bring a unique blend of expertise and enthusiasm to the board.  I have a track record of collaborating with the board, employees and external stakeholders to achieve common goals, and I am committed to creating a positive and inclusive culture within the club.
