Head of People

I was the first hire in the People team, responsible for building and executing scalable processes from the ground up — being in charge of strategy, management, and hands-on execution. 

Firstbase is an international team with members from 17 countries, which adds the exciting complexity of setting hiring strategies and internal policies that considers our diversity and remote-first culture.

Recruiting responsibilities:
• Build a scalable hiring process from scratch, and drive its company-wide adoption
• Own the full-cycle recruitment for all the open positions (tech and business roles, all seniority levels)
• Build a referral program (accounted for +20% of candidates hired in Q4/2021)

People Ops responsibilities:
• Act as an HRBP, being a trusted advisor to senior Executives
• Build and run a company-wide employee onboarding program
• Run Employee NPS and pulse surveys
• Structure and manage biannual Performance Reviews
• Run payroll and keep track of PTO, expenses, and bonuses 
• Handle employees' inquiries and concerns
• Organize international company retreats and team-building initiatives
• Structure and document company policies

With the People team growing, some of my responsibilities have been delegated/shared, and I became responsible for leading 6 employees (from Argentina, Brazil, Chile, and Uruguay).

Management responsibilities:
• Set OKRs, prioritize efforts accordingly and measure results
• Keep internal processes documented and ensure that work agreements are being followed
• Have weekly 1:1 with team members to exchange feedback and address blockers
• Train and coach team members

Recruiting and People Ops Manager

As a Tech Recruiter, I was responsible for the candidate’s journey from their first interview to the final negotiations and offer.

Ubiminds works exclusively with international clients (mostly in the US), so we work with a broad spectrum of technologies and techniques to find the most qualified talent in Brazil, supporting both candidates and clients to find their perfect match!

Main responsibilities:
• Recruitment strategy planning and execution
• Candidate interviewing and vetting
• Background check and technical knowledge assessment

Tech Recruiter

I was responsible for finding the best talent using the main technologies and tools available, reaching out, and supporting our candidates at the beginning of their journey with us.

Main responsibilities:
• Boolean search for profiles online
• Pre-screening of candidates for technical and English skills
• Troubleshooting and FAQ support to candidates
• Publicizing open roles in LinkedIn, GitHub, Slack, etc.
• Basic branding and digital marketing

• Conduct competency-based and situational job interviews
• Conduct group dynamics

• Monitor HR metrics and KPIs
• Plan and promote events
• Assist in people development and culture reinforcement projects
