Management of the budgeting, accounting and reporting for the Bottling Plant and Warehouse and the Production Accountant
Responsible for the setting and reporting of all standard costs for packaged goods.

Responsibilities
•	Review forecasts for all divisions for wine requirements
•	Comparisons of forecasts to historical sales, budgets and 5 year plans
•	Build a global wine forecasting system for importation into the Vintage Plan
•	5 year plan for premium wines
•	Monitor bulk wine blends vs forecasts to assess impacts of wine changeover dates
•	Establish reports detailing sales forecasts and comparisons
•	Develop detailed forecasting procedures and ensure these are implemented in all offices
•	Continuous improvement process to improve forecast accuracy
•	Review production plans against forecasts to ensure that excess stock in not produced
•	Monitor packaged stock on hand to ensure ideal stocking levels
•	Set budgets for the Bottling and Warehouse operations and report performance and variances
•	Set and verify standard costs for all products
•	Set and report on Bottling Plant and Warehouse KPI’s
•	Prepare financial analysis for contract bottling tenders

Key Achievements
•	Developed a comprehensive forecast model for Super Premium wines to better manage wine make and grape sourcing to avoid expensive over supply
•	Introduced a stock analysis process to more quickly identify and action slow moving stock
•	Introduced timely inventory reporting
•	Transformed the budgeting for the Merbein site to calculate shifts and inputs required for changing volume assumptions and apply more rigour to the process
•	Developed KPI’s for the Merbein site to drive efficiency
•	Corrected standard costing practices that had been neglected for years

Manager Forecasting & Inventory Costing

Focussed on the sales forecasting and reporting elements of the business. This is a crucial role which impacts grape sourcing, working capital management and stock level, and involves liason with several business units.
Key Responsibilities/Accountabilities:
• Reviewing forecasts for Domestic and Export divisions in terms of wine requirements
• Undertaking comparisons of forecasts to historical sales. Budgets and 5 year plans
• Building a global wine forecasting system (within Demantra / JDE / Cognos) for importation into the Vintage Plan
• Creating a 5 year plan for super premium wines
• Monitoring bulk wine blends vs forecasts to assess impacts of wine changeover dates
• Monitoring bulk wine blend costs vs. targets
• Establish system reports detailing sales forecasts and comparisons
• Develop detailed forecasting procedures and ensure procedures are implemented in Australian and overseas offices
• Develop continuous improvement process to improve forecast accuracy
• Review production plans against forecasts to ensure that excess stock in not produced
• Monitor packaged stock on hand to ensure maintenance of ideal stocking levels
• Monitor and follow up on plans for clearance of slow moving stock items

Forecasting and Inventory Control Manager

Mitsubishi Motors Australia Ltd

Reporting to the Head of Corporate Quality with 7 reports, this role leads the team responsible for adjudicating and processing warranty claims, training warranty staff throughout the network, auditing compliance with claim rules and recovering overpayments, recovering costs from vendors, calculating and providing for whole of life warranty costs across the product range, and analysing claim data to achieve reductions in the multi million dollar warranty costs per year.
Responsibilities include
• Manage the warranty claim administration process to ensure optimal outcomes for dealers and MMAL. (Ie Ensure efficiency of the process and that only valid claims are paid.)
• Manage the audit team to ensure compliance and fairness.
• Manage systems analysts to ensure integrity of all systems.
• Manage warranty hotline to quickly and efficiently deal with customer queries
• Manage and negotiate warranty recoveries
• Manage training program for dealer and internal staff in warranty concepts, law and technical procedures.
• Determine “Whole of Life” warranty costs and ensure sufficient provisions are maintained.
• Manage and develop the warranty reporting process
• Manage the budgets for the Corporate Quality department

Key Achievements:
Took a department that was in crisis after years of mis-management and a botched system implementation and turned it around into a highly functional and efficient operation.
Instituted reporting not seen before in the division which enhanced visibility of the department's performance and enabled process efficiencies.
Identified over $6m per annum of cost saving activities.

Warranty Manager

Responsible for the delivery of Enterprise Portal, Document Management System, Channel Management in CRM, and Reporting and Analytics portions of the MMAL SAP implementation.

Strategic Enterprise Management Lead - SMA Project (SAP)

Sitting on the senior executive team this is a commercial role cutting across all areas of Sales & Marketing delivering financial advice on all aspects of the S&M function - the core of the business.
Responsibilities include
Facilitate formulation of Strategic and Operational plans
Providing financial advice across all areas of S&M
Developing strategies to achieve more profitable sales results
Financially assessing all new and existing business activities, eg Incentive proposals, fleet deals, operational strategy, capital plans 
Analysing product strategy, pricing, Merchandising and other budgets and plans to ensure compliance with profitability targets
Delivering special studies, project analyses, and presentations both financial and operational for board or shareholder consumption
Levearge financial systems to deliver better service to S&M to add value to the business
Act as financial mentor on cross divisional “Brand Teams” and provide commercial advice to these teams

Commercial Manager

Manager of  the Finance teams responsible for:
•	Co-ordinating and analysing the short and long range strategic and financial forecasts for the entire company
•	Analysing and reporting of the  profit & loss, cashflow, and balance sheet positions of the company 
•	All Cost Accounting and Inventory functions
•	Delivering special studies, project analyses, and presentations both financial and operational for board or shareholder consumption
•	All systems development and support for Finance
•	Provision of cross divisional support for all IT projects

•	Overseer and Finance Representative of all company Revenue Up (e.g. Revenue Forum) and Cost Down teams

Financial Controller

Managed the Finance team in re-engineering business processes for the entire company through the installation of SAP ERP software. The installation included the Financial, Controlling, Purchasing and Manufacturing modules.

Successfully implemented the financials, non production procurement and Press Shop phases of the project when most other teams were not ready

Manager – Costing & Long Range Planning

Preparation of management reports for board or shareholder presentation.
