Al-Qalam and DecoType are creating a hub in the Al-Khalifa district in the historic centre of Cairo, to raise awareness among the younger generation of the social, cultural and economic value of preserving and developing Arab calligraphy heritage. The organizations are investigating the way in which this script can be digitally integrated while retaining its historical roots.

I am an architect working in urban development and spatial justice realms. My previous research investigated the potentiality of spatial well-being within areas of extreme poverty and deteriorated conditions in the Greater Cairo Region (GCR). Besides, I took part in internships and cultural exchange programs under NOGs such as UNESCO, DAAD, AIESEC Morocco, Takween, AUC, and CLUSTER. 

All in all, I am keen on contemporary dance, public spaces, and street photography.
