Jack of all trades, master of none. Is that a good or bad description for a person? I worked in construction since I was 8 years old with my family, and by 11 years old I knew that I love Electricity and everything related to it. I went to a Trade School in my country and obtained the degree of Mechanical-Electrical Technician. I learned how to design mechanical parts in various programs, be it in 2D or 3D. I have many years experience with AutoCAD and SolidWorks. I also have experience in the manufacturing and building process of pieces and machines, since I learned how to use machines such as CNC to produce parts. I understand the gap between designing and manufacturing, since I have been in both sides of the process, and even more, I know how to cross and connect that gap. I worked on machine shops, producing and installing multiple kind of equipment, from car parts to AC vents. As a graduate student, I researched the musculotendon properties of kangaroo rats in order to develop a musculoskeletal computer model. I designed and produced components needed for the experiments, in order to study the mechanical properties of different muscles. Construction? Electricity? Design? Manufacturing? Research? Computer coding? Assembling? I have done them all, and many more. I don't claim to be a master on any of these fields, but I dare anyone to find anyone who can bridge as many fields as I can. So no, that phrase is not a bad description for me, because I know very well that often, I am better than the master of one.
