I began my formulation journey when I was searching for a natural plant-based solution to my daughter, Lulu’s skin and dry, brittle hair. I taught myself how to formulate and later gained the necessary knowledge through online courses. I went on to create my first product for dry skin and Eczema issues, which led to launching my brand Uhuru Botanicals Ltd. I am mentor and guest lecturer at Salford University where I teach students how to formulate their own natural products, sustainability and the development and building a brand. I have also been invited to speak at several women's events, where I have been able to inspire and empower women to pave their own way to financial independence through product formulation and creating revenue online.
