Over 13 years experience in various areas of finance and operations, Nestor has been working in public and corporate finance for more than 13 years for small-, medium-scale businesses and large multinational companies as Director of Finance, Chief Financial Officer, Consultant and Finance Expert that helps drive financial and strategic leadership across the organization. He leads Finance, Accounting, Legal, Compliance, IT and Business Support teams and continue to build Finance functions to ensure that the companies are developing a scalable approach to long-term planning. He has proven track record on risk advisory, internal audit, compliance, financial profitability and colleague engagement with expertise on pre-opening and operating 5-star luxury hotel, upscale, residential, extended stay, resort and sports club operations. Under Accor Upper South East Asia and North East Asia and Maldives (AAPC Limited), Nestor held the position as Group Director of Finance for VIE Hotel Bangkok, V Villas Hua Hin and Phuket, as part of MGallery Hotel Collection, and Mirihi Island Resort, a property in Maldives which handles the management and operations of the function of Finance for the cluster properties. He was the Director of Finance for Fairmont Makati, Raffles Makati and Raffles Residences Makati (formerly under Fairmont Raffles Hotels International, a luxury hotel management company). Prior joining Accor, Nestor worked as Financial Controller of Timberland Sports and Nature Club (TSNC), and the Corporate Payables and Project Monitoring & Reporting Head of Filinvest Land, Inc., a publicly-listed property developer in the Philippines. He successfully turned around a Club under recovery, went into condotel expansion, obtained financing, got it to profitability level, settled creditors and financed major capital expenditures. Nestor was formerly a Senior Associate Auditor in the Assurance and Advisory Business Services (AABS) group of SyCip Gorres Velayo (SGV) & Co. (a member practice of Ernst & Young Global) handling Real Estate (Construction), Oil, Power Generation, Brewery and Professional Services industries. He holds a degree in Bachelor of Science in Accountancy from the University of the Philippines. He passed the Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Licensure Examination in October 2010. He is also a member of Philippine Institute of Certified Public Accountants (PICPA). As a Chief Financial Officer and Saas & E-commerce expert, Nestor has worked for companies in Finland, Australia, United Kingdom (UK), United Stated of America (USA) and the Philippines.
