I am project manager with a background in science and education and 4+ years in technology and non-profit management. With my science degree, I have a solid foundation in research and making data-driven decisions. With my education masters, I refined my interpersonal skills—having difficult conversations and breaking down complicated topics. Prior to project management, I was a jack-of-all-trades, learning and executing my role on the job. I was a voter engagement manager, optimizing the program budget and planning our outreach. In addition, I worked at a university as a tech manager, leading the team to provide high quality customer support for over 50,000 students, staff, and instructors-- earning us team excellence award. I have also led many volunteer-based nonprofits. All these roles may feel different, but they have one common theme of ensuring the success of the teams, programs, and/or organizations. As a project manager, I thrive on what I get to do! I turn chaos into structure, leaving a strong foundation of organization. I get the privilege to work with different people, learning their needs and goals, and finding the ways to remove the barriers for them to thrive. And finally, I get to resolve problems as they come up, learning new skills and troubleshooting.
