Trainee Department Manager

- ACCESSORIES DEPARTMENT RESPONSIBLE - This role saw me take charge of the Accessories departments across the ladies and divided ranges. Responsible for the merchandising, restocking and sales goals of the department and to rematch to store monthly plans.

- MEMBER AMBASSADOR for the store. H&M's membership programme is a loyalty scheme to incentive customers conversion and increase spending. I was responsible for updating the staff on changes to the scheme and new goals set by the area team. Set up a number of incentives to drive SOR in store.

- STAFF TRAINER - Training new staff in accordance with H&M standards and local legislation with health and safety and security routines.

- Became responsible for providing great customer experience contributing to the sales and profits goals in store by acting in line with H&M group values and global leadership expectations. 
- Supporting the management team by leading by example ensuring all colleagues deliver great customer service.

Team Leader

30 hour Sales Assistant at H&M 936 Livingston, a fast paced store in The Centre.

- Working to deadlines on deliveries - Responsible for taking in deliveries, ensuring correct items were scanned in and out, completing paperwork, calculating processing times and deadlines.

Mixed Fleet Cabin Crew, working short, mid and long haul flights. Main duties included:

- Safety related duties
- Dealing with cash and card transactions
- Importation documentation for inflight bars and duty free
- Complying with food safety standards while serving food and beverages to customers
- Performing first aid on passengers in emergency situation
- Upselling inflight snacks on short haul flights, provided by M&S, and Duty Free on long haul flights to increase revenue and commission for the team. 
- Performing pre-flight checks
- Monitoring boarding and disembarkations of passengers
- Participating in pre-flight briefings and delivering announcements on behalf of the Captain
- Dealing with high net worth individuals in a professional and mature manor.


The job of Cabin Crew involves a lot of attention to detail. Timeliness is key as late flights cost millions for the company. I work to provide a world class standard of service to passengers to ensure that they return and fly with British Airways again.

Assisted in the nursery of the school. Organised daily activities for the children and assisted at break times and lunch times. This was a very rewarding experience and was my first real experience of a working environment. I supervised the children during play time and during circle time which enabled me to show my capability to use my initiative when arranging activities for the children.

I gained my HND in Business focused on marketing in 2017 from West Lothian College. 

My current role sees me work across a variety of scientific companies specialising in spectroscopy, chromatography and laboratory products. My main responsibilities include the organising and management of conferences and events globally for the Techcomp group as well as managing the social media accounts for the group. Content creation and social media analytics reporting also fall under my remit. I also work with the team on SEO, email campaigns and maintaining the groups websites.
