I’ve continued to build exceptional business relationships that result in business growth with the acquisition of three members-only networking franchises called Network In Action. 

Network In Action is a category-exclusive networking group that combines technology with face-to-face networking to drive an increase in business. Members have access to a members-only referral page, a proprietary mobile app and meet only once per month, which is a great fit for busy executives.

The Diamond Story

Up until the late 19th century, diamonds were rare and only available to the aristocracy and the upper classes. However, this changed in the late 1800s when massive diamond mines were discovered in South Africa. 

Suddenly, the market was flooded with diamonds, which posed a problem for diamond miners: an abundance of diamonds meant that their value would decrease.

Enter De Beers, a major player in the diamond mining industry. In the 1930s, facing the challenge of an oversupplied market, they hired the N.W. Ayer advertising agency to change the public's perception of diamonds. 

The goal was to infuse diamonds with a new, emotional value.

The agency came up with the slogan "A Diamond is Forever." This brilliant marketing strategy linked diamonds with love and marriage, suggesting that a diamond, being eternal, was the perfect symbol for eternal love. 

The campaign was a phenomenal success. It not only stabilized the diamond market but made diamond rings almost synonymous with marriage proposals, particularly in the United States.

Lessons for Business and Personal Branding

1. Create Emotional Connections: Just as De Beers connected diamonds with love and commitment, a successful business or personal brand should foster emotional connections with its audience. Telling a story that resonates emotionally can transform how people perceive a product or individual.

2. Craft a Compelling Narrative: Your story should be compelling and relatable. It should weave in elements that resonate with your target audience's desires, fears, or aspirations, just like the idea of eternal love did for diamonds.

3. Differentiate Yourself: Diamonds were essentially made to stand out from other gemstones through storytelling. In business, it's crucial to differentiate yourself from competitors. What unique story or value can you offer that no one else can?

4. Consistency in Messaging: "A Diamond is Forever" was successful partly due to its consistent use across all marketing channels. Consistency in your messaging reinforces your brand's story and values.

5. Align with Cultural Values: The diamond campaign aligned with the cultural values of the time, such as the importance of marriage. Understanding and aligning with the current cultural values or shifts can make your story more impactful.

6. Authenticity: While crafting a story, it's essential to maintain authenticity. People connect more deeply with stories that are genuine and relatable.



The transformation of diamonds into a symbol of eternal love is not just about the power of marketing; it's about the power of storytelling and emotional connection. Trust = (Likability+Reliability+Credibility)​  /  Perceived Self-Interest

The "Trust Quotient" is an "equation" that brilliantly breaks down the essence of trust in professional relationships. It’s a simple formula.

Why does this matter? 

In any professional setting, building trust is not just about being likable or reliable, it’s also about how others perceive your intentions. Are you seen as genuinely interested in mutual success, or is there a hidden agenda? The lower the perceived self-interest, the higher the trust quotient!

This equation reminds us that trust is multifaceted and balancing these elements can greatly enhance our interactions and relationships at work.

🎨✨ The Untold Story of Leonardo da Vinci’s Greatest "Failure" ✨🎨

Today we celebrate the birthday of one of the greatest geniuses that ever lived.  

But.... Did you know that one of Leonardo da Vinci's most ambitious projects was also his most challenging and ultimately unfinished work? This is the saga of the Sforza Monument.

In 1482, Leonardo was commissioned by Duke Ludovico Sforza of Milan to create what was intended to be the largest equestrian statue in the world, a grand bronze horse to honor the duke’s father. Leonardo, ever the perfectionist and innovator, embarked on what would become a monumental task—both literally and figuratively.

Despite receiving a stipend and dedicating 17 years to the project, Leonardo faced one obstacle after another. From technical challenges in casting such a massive statue to political upheaval and war, his masterpiece remained a dream. The clay model, a giant in its own right, was admired for its unprecedented scale and ambition. However, it never made it to bronze; in 1499, French soldiers used the clay model for target practice, destroying it before it could be cast.

🔍 But here’s where it gets inspiring: Despite this significant setback, Leonardo's reputation didn’t falter. His relentless pursuit of art and science, his deep curiosity, and his ability to envision projects far ahead of his time only contributed to his legend. Even though the Sforza Monument was never completed, Leonardo's sketches and studies for the horse impressed many and showcased his innovative approach and dedication.

Today, Leonardo da Vinci is celebrated not just for what he finished but for what he imagined and strived towards. His passion, perseverance, and transformative thinking have marked him as one of the greatest artists and geniuses the world has ever seen. This story of the Sforza Monument, a testament to both disaster and determination, reminds us that sometimes, even in failure, the seeds of legacy are sown.
