The phased roll out of the deliverability updates for Google, Yahoo, and AOL continue to roll out.

And June 1st is going to be a rough day for many email marketers.

A lot of the principles of having your own dedicated IP come into place:

- Consistency of volume will matter a lot.
- Audience/data segmentation become more important
- High focus watching stats per TLD (gmail, yahoo etc)
- Adding additional tracking (GPMT for Google, Yahoo/AOL have one on the way too)

And here's 5 things you probably don't think about today, you should: 

1. Terms of service and privacy policy links on the website and landing pages matter
2. Reply address should have a REAL inbox attached
3. Your links matter - Every level of your link is checked against blacklists. Be careful with third party links or link trackers that use 3rd party redirects, each one of those affects the reputation of the email.
4. Your user's experience and their behaviors matter (create emails with this in mind) - Will they open and delete? Will they save it? Archive it? Forward to a friend? Mark as spam?
5. Domain privacy matters - Mailers over 5k should not have private WHOIS setup.

Don't get caught off guard.

These changes could create a very challenging summer for you.

And the faster you attack it, the easier it is to recover.
