As a First-Generation American Costa Rican, I am fully aware of the incredible opportunities this nation has to offer. With my involvement in athletics, I quickly realized that such great opportunities come with a significant responsibility to make the most of them. In my athletic journey, my brother and I, along with Frank Corral, established Riverside FC, winning over 30 championships and creating a club with numerous teams, enabling the youth of Riverside County to actively pursue their passion. I transitioned into a D1 Football program, and by the end of my high school career, I had received scholarships for both soccer and football. However, during the 2009 recession, I decided to rely on my academics, as partial scholarships were not enough. At that moment, everything seemed lost, but I held onto my unwavering love for sports, believing that it would take me further than I could have ever imagined professionally, even allowing me to play in the stadium I had dreamed of. Later on, I earned a leadership scholarship from the same school that had previously offered me one for soccer. This opened up an opportunity to work with the top 1% of our nation through the Irvine company. In a time when I had nothing, I came to realize the value I bring to this world through my profession, acquiring skillsets that would surpass any professional athletic talents.
