I'm an Engineer for the company's Systems Group, which acts as the manufacturer of EMTRAC, an EVP/TSP system for decreasing emergency vehicle response times and increasing transit vehicle efficiency. I test vehicle and wayside hardware before field implementation, and also test software before release to the customer. I typically also assist in the design and documentation of systems to address new customers' needs, provide remote or on-site support to customers who are experiencing issues or need assistance with their installation, and offer a variety of technical support and configuration advice via email and phone.

Saint Louis University

As part of my graduate assistantship, I was responsible for teaching multiple sections of the college's Fluid Dynamics Laboratory. This responsibility included duties ranging from building and testing lab equipment before classes, preparing students for their experiments via lecture, providing video learning sessions, supervising experiments and offering feedback during lab sessions, and grading laboratory reports.

Graduate Teaching Assistant - Parks College of Engineering

I worked in Pius XII Memorial Library as a Reference Assistant, manning a desk so as to provide ready service to library patrons needing help with finding volumes in the Reference section as well as the General Collection.  I also served Patrons by helping them properly cite and reference their source materials, providing technical support on library computers or Patrons' personal computers, and offering help and suggestions to guide them in their research or classwork.

Reference Assistant - Pius XII Memorial Library

As an intern for the company's EMTRAC manufacturing division, I performed large volume quality assurance testing on vehicle and wayside components to verify proper operations before shipping, as well as product conformance with the NEMA TS2 temperature and vibration standards.  I also assisted in data-basing the results of these tests in Microsoft Access along with a variety of other studies and tasks, including an analysis of the performance of different radio antenna designs, the optimization of an environment chamber's PID controller, and the installation and integration of remote camera hardware.

Summer Intern

CAI Industries

Interned in the engineering department of a mining machinery and manufacturing company which specialized in producing and repairing underground continuous mining machines.  I helped transfer paper blueprints to 3D models, reverse engineered damaged parts on the factory floor to aid in the production of replacement components, and helped to redesign and relaunch the company website.

NRE - Moving Forward

Interned in the engineering division of a company which rebuilt and produced locomotives.  I assisted in finalizing documentation templates for standardizing the company's painting specifications, helped convert old, critical, paper documents to newer electronic formats, and assisted in reverse engineering and 3D-modeling a GE locomotive.

Hart and Hart, Attorneys At Law

As a Summer Intern, I served as an assistant to the paralegal for Attorney A. Courtney Cox.  I kept in contact with clients over the phone, met with clients before consultation with the Attorney, helped to file and organize Correspondence and Discovery documentation, summarized Deposition transcripts, and prepared Exhibits for use and distribution in Court.
