Director of Student Services, Lake Nona 

Supervising the Osceola Campus Answer Center, I support the team of Student Services Advisors who advise over 12,000 potential and current students matriculating through the admissions, in-state residency, FAFSA/financial aid, debt resolution, registration and graduation preparation process utilizing SCT Banner relational student databases and internal student computer systems. Responsibilities in this position include office management, resolution of student complaints regarding the enrollment process, development of plans to increase enrollment and improvement of system processes, representation for college committees and student service to community groups. Working closely Human Resources submits approval decisions for staff release time from work, time sheet approval and quarterly employee development/improvement programs. Student development implementation of resolution for student issues, conflict resolution and the assumption of student discipline problems for other campus locations along with other campus leadership and budget appropriations for student activity funds. Staffing responsibilities include the recruitment, interview processing and hiring of staff members, coordination of work schedules and staff training. Other duties include assessment of yearly strategic equipment requests, survey of student service opportunities for outreach to our community. In collaboration with the Director of Advising, Assistant Director of Admissions, Assistant Director of Financial Aid, Business Office Manager, New Student Orientation Coordinator, Assistant Director of Student Development and Coordinator of the ATLAS Access Lab, I make recommendations to the Dean of Students in evaluation of the registration process, technology and systems of the campus and college to design improvement plans for optimal student service.

Student Services Manager

Serving a diverse population in the East Campus Answer Center, I advise potential and current students in the areas of admissions, Florida residency, records, course registration, financial aid, and graduation readiness and transfer process to institutions of higher education.  Created and presented cross-training curriculum and presentation for Student Services various departments. Present New and Transfer Student Orientations to large groups of diverse student population. Designed Answer Center forms utilized college-wide. Created and presented Admissions/Financial Aid presentations for community groups. Also assisted in the coordination of Answer Center work schedule and assisted in supervision of work student students.

Student Services Specialist

Advised diverse student body in coursework selection, career exploration research, graduation preparedness and transfer requirements to four-year universities and colleges. Other duties included presentation of New Student Orientations to groups of first time in college and transfer students and transfer workshops to Student Success (SLS1122) classes.
