Meet Nick – As Managing Director at Gritting Works I am responsible for the day to day operations of the business. I lead from the front and always have done and you are just as likely going to find me driving a gritter as you are sat in a meeting. I have worked in winter maintenance for over 10 years and lend that experience to each of our customer’s premises ensuring they remain ice free and open for business each winter. Gritting Works – As a specialist winter maintenance company we often get called in when others have failed. We blend the latest technology with hard work and experience to deliver an unrivaled and trusted service. We don’t sub-contract work out and we don’t work on a sub-contract basis with other providers. Dealing directly with our customers to better understand their needs has enabled us to maintain our 100% renewal rate of fixed contracts since Gritting Works was formed. Services Pro-active – From basic gritting with salt to more specialist liquids and granular de-icers, we use a range of methods to prevent the formation of ice and disruption to your business or premises. Re-active – Snow is never guaranteed in our service area but as many of our customers can testify you can’t rule it out either. We provide all of our snow clearance services through our own equipment and in house teams who are on standby 24/7 throughout winter. Weather forecasting – If you are responsible for deciding when your premises is gritted by your own teams we can provide single site forecasting allowing you to take the guess work away. As well as location specific forecasts we are building our own network of real time weather sensors across our service area. Winter supplies – From grit bin supply and refill to bags of ice melt or rock salt we provide a range of items to help you ensure safety at your premises over winter. Consultancy – From training in-house teams to assisting large estates plan their winter maintenance I bring over 10 years of industry experience and a no-nonsense approach to what it takes to maintain safety.
