The Girls Network is a registered charity supporting and empowering girls from the least advantaged communities in the UK. I joined as a Mentor on the Autumn 2022 programme to support a year 10 girl in a year long mentoring relationship.

Sofar Sounds

As a lover of music, I volunteered as an MC at Sofar Sounds gigs across London – presenting the shows, introducing the artists, and ensuring the nights ran smoothly. Sadly ended when Covid-19 hit!

Hopper HQ

I led content and digital marketing at Hopper HQ for two years, producing keyword optimised blogs, monitoring SEO, managing social media accounts, running events, and collaborating with brands and customers in creative ways to drive growth. 

A number of my articles reached #1 on Google, and were responsible for bringing in hundreds of new customers a month.

School Of Code

Worked with the Founder of School of Code to plan, manage and run their first 16-week coding Bootcamp. As part of a two person team, I was responsible for all marketing, PR and comms activity, as well as general Ops and running of the Bootcamp. Including: attracting 300 people during the application process and documenting the Bootcamp via the blog, social media, press and video content. 

During my time at SoC, I also won the 1776 Challenge Cup pitching competition, and spoke at a Google Digital Garage Inspiring Women event.

Real Tribe

I was one of the first hires at social influencer startup Real Tribe. Identifying social media influencers that best matched our clients’ campaign requirements and objectives, building and maintaining strong relationships with them throughout the process to deliver authentic and successful campaigns. This role gave me a good understanding of influencer marketing in a cutting-edge start up business, as well as the opportunity to harness and improve my people and communication skills.

Project: Birmingham

Interned for 4 weeks at Project Birmingham – a local cultural collective – managing multiple social media accounts, arranging and attending meetings with companies and individuals, co-running events in the city, discovering and contacting new artists, illustrators, musicians and filmmakers in Birmingham, and networking with them to discuss collaborations. Also began my own personal projects such as expanding the collective to include writers and poets by launching an online collection of written work.

Communications Manager

I've worked in the founding teams of early stage B2B SaaS startups for the past 8 years across Marketing, Content & Product – and so I'm very comfortable building things from scratch. Be it a brand a strategy, a process, a team, or an entire business function... 

I'm now applying all of that first hand knowledge and experience to support founders on a freelance basis in Berlin and beyond 🌍 Being used to working with minimal budgets and early stage startup chaos – I know how to do a lot with a little when it comes to marketing.

I'm passionate about people, storytelling, startups (and diversifying them), personal development, and companies trying to do things differently.
