Analyse information from customers to create and improve products. Provide leadership and project management for new strategic initiatives to drive revenue growth and brand recognition. Manage stakeholder expectations; communicate with other business units and serve as subject matter expert, performing research when necessary to answer key questions. Supervised a team of two backend developers, two frontend developers, and one QA professional in the end-to-end management of a product in an Agile environment.

• Developed and delivered an in-house subscription service in just six weeks, projected to make £3M in sales by 11/2021.
• Managed the delivery of a £100K contract with a third-party vendor to create a community forum to facilitate internal and external brand communications.
• Delivered £88K in annual printing cost savings and £130K in shipping cost savings by optimising customer delivery boxes.
• Produced content that directly contributed to £33K in gift sales through a creative use of Instagram Stories features.

Digital Product Manager

Managed a team of analysts, content editors, and market relations professionals in the implementation of a strategic social media programme. Monitored social medial listening platforms to track campaign progress and gain an understanding of customer sentiment. Co-managed a UK-based publishing team in the development of content for six brand channels across all major social media platforms. Provided social media direction and training for APAC and EMEA markets.

• Performed an in-depth audit of brand marketing and social media to identify strengths and explain opportunities for growth.
• Grew social media community from under 200K users to over 1.7M across YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
• Implemented a social media strategy that resulted in over 800K sessions and £245K sales during tenure.
• Supervised the marketing of five major customer and staff events (Lush Showcase and Lush Summit) that created over 400M impressions and 2M video views, and was praised as "Social Media Christmas."
• Led the set-up of a mirrored publishing team and localised brand pages in Japan and Korea.
• Played a key role in the success of the #GayisOK campaign by developing content that reached 30M users worldwide and raised £275K in special product sales, the profits of which went to a fund supporting individuals endangered by their orientation.
• Collaborated with stakeholders and PR team to manage the influx of feedback surrounding the campaign SpyCops, which generated over 19K conversations on the hashtag and over 1,300 mentions in website publications.

Head of Social Media

Managed the brand's Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and Vine accounts. Created and maintained a publishing schedule with optimised content for all platforms. Researched trends and insights to better develop social media presence, and developed creative social media campaign concepts for product launches and ethical campaigns. Collaborated with stakeholders to create value-driven strategy and on-brand messages. Cultivated a close relationship with customer care team managing the online community. Delivered reports on business KPIs and growth of social channels. Collaborated closely with Retail team to provide communication and brand assets for publication on local accounts. Explored new features such as Live Video, and implemented processes for maximising efficiency as new tools became available.

Social Media Content Editor

Launched, developed, and managed a new digital platform for Lush Kitchen, a new online community-focused, sister department that tapped into the wants and needs of digital customers. Managed community, created content, developed social strategy and oversaw e-commerce upkeep. Engaged directly with the community to set expectations and communicate the value proposition of Lush Kitchen.

• Supported the launch of a new product online five days each week, leading marketing efforts and occasionally pitching in to support the manufacturing team to ensure timely shipment to customers.
• Built the community to 100K followers across Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, and Vine.
• Selected, purchased, and set up processes and equipment for the department.

Social Media Executive at Lush Kitchen

In 2012, I transferred from my retail stock management role within Lush to be part of the customer care department: a small team responsible for all customer engagement. As with any customer-facing job, the role was challenging and equally rewarding but we were determined to provide the same level of customer service to our online and paper community as Lush is renowned for on the shop floor. 

I supported the department manager with mystery shopping, legal issues and following up feedback internally. It was truly a rewarding role that taught me a lot and kick-started my Lush career
