It’s been a big end to the year for the Planet Fund, and I’m excited to share our fourth investment: Electric Future

Electric Future sits at the crossroads of three major shifts. Electrification technologies like EV chargers, home batteries and hot water heat pumps are now proven and cost-effective. Government incentives are lowering the upfront cost for households. And rising energy volatility is pushing more families toward efficient electric solutions.

Electric Future takes the complexity out of all of this. They help people choose the right products, get them installed properly and ensure the incentives land where they should.

And underpinning all of this is an exceptional founding team with deep sector experience, strong commercial discipline and a clear understanding of the challenge around the energy transition. 

We are proud to back Nathan Brown, Adam R., Caetano Mantovanni and the entire Electric Future team as they help accelerate Australia’s shift to cleaner, smarter homes.

I'm excited to share that Electric Future has received investment from Ecotone Partners’ Planet Fund in a Series A raise that values the company at $40 million pre-money. 

Electric Future has grown nearly 500% each year and was recently recognized on the 2025 Australian Financial Review Fast Starter List. We’ve helped 10,000+ Australian households electrify their homes - by installing EV chargers, battery storage and by electrifying their heating, cooling, and appliances. 

Overwhelmingly we find that households want to electrify - they want to find savings in their power bills, and they also want to make the switch to cleaner energy to do their part for the planet.

However a lot of households get paralysed by the complexity. That’s why we’ve built a one-stop shop for home electrification: Electric Future and our subsidiary Revcharge can handle everything - we provide advice on what assets you need, and then handle quoting, installation, the creation of certificates, and provide ongoing support with maintenance. 

We’re delighted to welcome Ecotone Partners as investors and strategic partners. Ultimately we share the same goal - to decarbonize homes and make it easier for everyday Australians to get access to technologies that are both better for the planet and more affordable. 

We’re currently electrifying up to 150 homes per week through our 3,500+ strong installer network and we’re excited for our fresh funding to help us ramp up this pace by deepening our network, improving our digital experience, and continuing to broaden the range of products and solutions we can offer.

Ecotone Partners is excited to announce the Planet Fund's investment into MetroElectro via a Senior Secured Debt Facility.

One of the biggest barriers to commercial solar and battery adoption is misaligned incentives.  Landlords own the roof 🏢, tenants pay the power bill 💸. And with those incentives split, vast flat rooftops across industrial and commercial parks remain bare.

MetroElectro fixes this. Its turnkey solar and battery model aligns both sides through energy agreements that cut costs, cut emissions and require no upfront capital for landlord or tenant.

It is exactly the kind of business the Planet Fund was built to back, removing structural barriers to solar and battery adoption with a model that is commercially viable.
