Grateful to squeeze in some celebrations with my family before the blizzard hits. 

This birthday entailed real life Mario, laser tag, Black Forest cake, piñata smashing, and quality time. 

I appreciate all the birthday wishes! 

Thankful for another year on this Earth and grateful to have you all in my community ❤️

Trust starts getting rebuilt with micro-actions like these. 

It’s a great example of how we can get in tune with people and diffuse a tense situation.

Are the problems solved?  No.

Does this right horrific wrongs?  No.

But it is a first step in showing Minnesotans that the National Guard is on their side.  

As Mr. Rogers famously said, “Look for the helpers.”

And when we look, there they are.

I was born into a blizzard. And today as I celebrate my birthday, we have another blizzard on the way. 

10 years ago, my niece was born into a blizzard too. 

I guess my family is just full of blizzard birthdays! 

Little Nidhi (pictured in the middle, eating floor cheese??) is going to have fun frolicking and making snow people ⛄️ 

Adult Nidhi is going to be praying the power stays on as we get almost an inch of ice and 7 inches of snow 😬

I’ll be squeezing in every bit of birthday fun before hunkering down. 

I hope everyone stays safe out there as the weather and roads become treacherous!
