I believe in the power of nature. I believe that feeling more connected to our own nature, each other and the beautiful world we get to call home, is beneficial to everyone's happiness and health! (re)Connecting with ourselves, each other and nature in whatever form is something I want to direct my professional focus on moving forward. Studying Applied Ecopsychology helped me realize this a lot. This course has changed me as a person. As a next step, I started the education at EWES (European Wilderness Education School) in Northern Spain to become a certified Wilderness Guide... Next to that, I work as a feelance trainer/facilitator/HR/Operations project manager. I have a great interest in people and what motivates them. I love setting up new processes and challenge the status quo. I create structure where there is chaos and convert ideas into action plans with ease. I am a true generalist, learn quickly and take in new information easily, which makes that I am often responsible for a wide array of projects. Others describe me as stable (‘nuchter’ as we say in Dutch) openminded and interested in others. I am intrigued by how everything and everyone is connected as part of our ecosystem. Team dynamics, the individual vs. groups and leadership- and communication styles. I have been fortunate to travel to many beautiful places around the world already for longer periods of time. I always feel at ease while being on the road, but for now, Amsterdam is my home. I am always on the lookout for new inner and outer journeys, in which i'm learning that enjoying the ride is more important then reaching whatever destination. Live in the now!
