A quick drive-by of my career to date: At 10, my parents bought me an electric typewriter (yes, I'm old) so I could write my first (terrible) novel, a shameless Hardy Boys rip-off. Despite an English degree and an MA in Creative Writing, I talked myself out of fiction. I believed novels were something other people wrote… or at least other people made money from. So I built a career in content: – Writer and editor at Channel 4 Television – Founder of Qube Media, a £1M+ digital content agency working with Virgin, Sony and others – Early pioneer of brand social strategy and social media content before most companies knew what it was Later, I co-founded Togethr, launching some of the UK's leading employee advocacy programmes. Through that work, I've coached hundreds of professionals to build personal brands on LinkedIn with clarity and confidence. We transferred that depth of expertise, experience and structure to individuals navigating any type of career change, starting with redundancy with the 15 Minute Career Coach. And all of our expertise has been channelling into the development of GhoStart, our new platform that acts as YOUR personal Linkedin Ghostwriter. Oh… and as for the fiction writing… at 40, I did finally finish a novel and found a publisher, with 2 more following, all bestselling literary fiction titles, one called in by Man Booker. I'm now writing my 4th novel. Slowly. Far too slowly… But I've been busy with GhoStart!
