Hi, I’m Nikita, the CEO of my portfolio career 🪄 You're the who of a what-now? Let me rewind a few years. After getting a degree in Linguistics from the Uni of Oxford, I've gone from: 💀 interning at Rolls Royce & McKinsey (I know, I know) 🚀 starting my first business (a surprising success, at least for 20 year old me - beginner's luck?) 💻 being a Data Analyst at LinkedIn (if only ChatGPT had been around to help with my SQL) 📈 leading growth at a tiny education startup (it didn't end well) ❌ starting and failing my second business within record time (one to share over a drink...) 🤝🏽 leading partnerships at the UK's most innovative new university, the London Interdisciplinary School (the shining star in the UK's education system that gives me HOPE for a better future, in my unbiased opinion) 🎨 kickstarting my portfolio career (best career decision I've ever made, highly recommend) 🎤 speaking at events, on panels and podcasts (and generally wherever someone gives me a microphone) In other words, my path has been squiggly, to say the least. I've squiggled through corporate life, the startup ecosystem and solopreneurship over the course of 5 years and I'm mighty sure I'll squiggle some more. My one big lesson from this mad journey? Learning to build your career like a business will catapult you to success, whatever that means to you. For me, success is about helping build the education and economic infrastructure that will enable us to mobilise more people around the right problems at the right time. If this intrigues you even a smidgen, or you want support in crafting a path that is empowering, sustainable and meaningfully contributes to our collective future, hit me up. I write about: 1. The future of work. We're talking everything from AI and bullshit jobs to post-labour economics, made accessible and actually interesting (I hope). 2. Alternative and intentional career design. If you fancy building a portfolio career and applying entrepreneurship principles to designing your career, you've found your gal. 3. The power of interdisciplinary, intergenerational and international thinking. Society, we have a problem. Yes, I'm looking at you. I write about how we can improve our collective thinking to create a better future. If you’d like to mine my mind more, read some of my essays: https://inklingswithnikita.substack.com/. I LOVE meeting new people, but have limited time. If you send me a connection request, PLEASE share a note telling me why you'd like to connect. Thanks for reading, have a meaningful day 🪄
