A very common question I get

Especially now standing between jobs, with risk and uncertainty providing for 2 kids by myself

“Ouch hope you are ok, I wouldn't want to be you and I wouldn't have done that decision ever” - haha good to know 😅 

Truth is, people grow from risk. Sure it's not pleasant at times, sure it also takes a toll on me, sure it makes me doubt myself at times

And sure Im more "poor" now then before ;) 💸 

Regardless though

If the alternative is to stop growing, get complacent and just see my job as a job its not something I can defend, I know many do, but thats not for me.

Im sure all the risk I take will reward me eventually, if not it makes me feel alive

Also you who live the same Im sure 👊 

Even if we have several more job & company jumps vs those who stay safe

That real respected Operators and leaders dont have time to do that.

That people doing it is only after attention and “look at me” 

I call Bullshit

Put me in a room with any “real operator” and I will show them what I can do

Last week I coached a head of sales guy to sharpen up his client presentations 

Setup:
Transactional sales

Process:
Outreach to book meetings followed by 15 mins client talks online

Then:
Too many slides and text talking about his solution and company

Now:
1 starting slide diving into the main problem (backed by data)
Followed by simple built pricing calculator to highlight cost of problem + ROI and impact by utilizing app (clients own numbers)

If all you got is 15 minutes, dont you dare talk about yourself and throw them slides - get to value

Founders, operators, people thinking they themselves are the best invention since electricity ⚡ 

Reason?

Apparently studies show only 10-15% of the world's population self-reflect, despite 95% of people thinking they do ;)

Worth a thought 🧠 

Is it a superpower not being able to reflect on your flaws and believing you are the greatest?

Is it necessary to succeed with a start-up?

Or is it arrogant and bombastic?

Lessons on networking

Few people talk about it, many I’m sure can relate 

When scaling business and people 

Being too dependent on a few certain people building everything around them and needing their involvement

That’s the opposite to scale 🥊

Sure, it might feel like a soft cushion to trust that person

But how is making things dependent on 1 person scalable?

And what happens with his/hers direct reports when they are not able to get the space and ownership to grow as much as they could?

Eventually pace slow down and all dependencies that used to feel nice becomes limitations.

The best leaders know this, they work towards making themselves obsolete 

The weak ones wants to stay in control in everything
