How I helped create a Content Marketing Agency and its identity in a few months?

“Want to help me create a content marketing agency for B2B and SaaS companies?”

“Sure, but I don't know anything about creating strategies, designing websites, writing blogs, copywriting or anything about B2B and SaaS”

That was me 12 months ago. Now because of this job, I learned 6 things about marketing and projects.

What if you could get an opportunity to work for a renowned marketing agency that specializes in the things you are interested in? 

That's precisely what happened when I met Miško, the owner of Markething.

When I met him, I received valuable info about SEO that I applied on my website, which helped me 2X my CTR.

A few months later an opportunity came to intern at the same agency and be guided by Miško.

During the internship, I learned a lot about the design process, project management, web development, and SEO.

I worked on the Essence Of Croatia project, where, with the help of my mentor and other colleagues, I designed a new logo and brand colors, redesigned the UI and improved the UX of websites,  wrote blogs, and optimized content for search engines (SEO).

In addition to this project, I also wrote SEO texts for Schneider Electric and Autowill Rent-a-Car, which improved their positions on Google for their products and services, and certain targeted keywords.

Gaming Blog

I was always afraid to start something on my own. I guess the fear of failing was too much for me. Around this time I just quit my jewelry job and took an interest in Web Design and SEO.

Eventually, I had some extra money to “gamble” so I decided.

I decided to make my own website in a niche I am mega familiar with and learn Web Design and SEO.

As a first-timer, it was hard to make the website. Error after Error. Mistake after mistake. It started to get on my nerve. 😡😡😡

But I had a savior. 3 actually. 

YouTube, Google, and…LinkedIn. I really have to point up LinkedIn because it helped me a ton by connecting me with the right people who gave me the guidance I needed. And it paid off.

After 2 weeks my gaming website was online. Nothing special or fancy. Just a simple site made in WordPress, with the Themify theme and a sprinkle of custom HTML and CSS. ✨

I had a goal of posting 2 blogs a week. Right now the blog sits at around 30 blogs with 41,000 impressions and 1.6% CTR.

The most interesting process of designing was the UI/UX research and learning Figma. Later Keyword research for Blogs using Google Keyword Planner and Keyword Explorer. Although free, those tools came quite useful.

I was happy I took this gamble. The money I spent on the website, domain, and hosting gave me immense knowledge of Web development, SEO, and Content Writing.

No course could ever top this experience.

Web Content Writer

Instagram was my first touch with digital marketing. It started while I was in high school with a simple meme page, and 6 years later I still have at least one page I consistently work on.

I had a few. Let me think If I can recall them. ❓

- Meme page, my first try. I didn't know anything about Instagram. Few hundred followers.
- Meme Page - 8,000 followers in 2 years
- Another meme page - failed 
- Man's fashion page - died after a while
- Quotes page - got too saturated and stagnated with followers so I quit.
- Rubik's cube page - 500 followers
- Gaming themed niche page - 2,000 followers in 3 months
- Funny Cat videos page (I know, saturated as hell) - 600 followers in 3 weeks
- Map page - 7,000 followers and more than 12,000,000 impressions in 16 months

I'm currently crushing it with the last one. All the knowledge I collected with previous pages is now being used on this project.

The secret is simple. Optimized hashtags and viral content that I created from scratch. Engage with your audience. Just be a good community manager. Your followers are just humans. Connect with them.

Did I get lucky? Maybe, but It was very fun.

I just liked the number of followers and comments going up. When I’m looking at it now it sounds ridiculous but young me was excited with every new follower.

I was employed to work on improving the social media presence and grow their brand. But there was so much more to do before even starting with Instagram and Facebook.

Adding icing to the top, it was in a niche I barely knew anything about - jewelry. 💍

This is how my first real experience in Digital Marketing went...⬇️

- Fixing the website so it’s faster, user-friendlier and SEO optimized.
- Editing product photos in Photoshop, adding them to the website, writing meta tags and descriptions
- Brainstorming about package ideas and new products.
- Designing packages and labels in Adobe Illustrator.
- Then I started to post on Instagram. In 3 months the followers grew from 0 to 220, and more than 10,000 impressions
- I created promotional materials for Google and Facebook Ads.
- Responded to customer inquiries, emails, and messages.


This was my first contact with digital marketing. I learned a lot and failed even more.

But I learned from my mistakes. 📚

I will always treasure this experience because it has shown me the struggle of a marketer and the need to adapt quickly to new trends and tools.

It also comes with the benefit of passively improving and learning languages. Summer is the only time I actively use German, and in the 6 years, I got a grasp of Italian which I could never learn in a traditional sense.
