This started as the ultimate side hustle making coat hangers for fancy electric cars. Solved a very simple problem - where does someone who has a $100k+ EV hang their jacket? On the hook I invented. Sold enough of these bad boys for the Model S, then made ones for the Model X and was able to scale up to 25 products for the Model S, X and 3 and deliver those products to thousands of customers worldwide.

Worked on a lot of pre-construction projects to help image the subsurface without actually digging aka Geophysics aka sending waves through the ground and figuring out what they look like when they come back up. Projects ranged from site investigations, Ground Penetrating Radar surveys, down-hole seismic and shoring/excavation design. Basically the projects ended up becoming incredibly tedious and I felt like I was not growing anymore. I also had started a side hustle (EVitems®) shortly after joining, and grew it to a point where I was able to venture out on my own as an entrepreneur. Grateful for the experience and it truly helped shape my take on a 9-5 no longer being the "dream job" in my eyes.

I joined the company when they had almost no presence in Canada as a member of the original 8 team members in BC. I helped open the first store in Vancouver, educated a ton of people about electric cars, trained more people as we grew, helped open the first Tesla Supercharger in Canada (Squamish, BC), sold a ton of Teslas, helped coordinate and manage events, cruised around in a $100k+ premium electric car, and made very, very little money. I was drinking the kool-aid like everyone else, but shortly after graduating university, I realized my "dream job" was somewhere out there and that I should probably put my degree to use. Tesla was a great experience where I dealt with tons of people - both internally and externally and I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

Almost 7 years in... and we're still scrappy.

The truth is I don't usually do personal deliveries anymore, nor do I think it's a very efficient use of time, as relying on experts (freight companies) generally makes the most sense. 

But yesterday, I dropped my back seats down and filled a pallet of product into my car to get a hero flavor back in stock with a key distribution partner. 

Rolling up and your sleeves and being scrappy is what I've learned from my time at Tesla, working as a Geophysicist, building EVitems® and now taking No Days Wasted® to new heights.

It's the founder quality that keeps you humble, gives you perspective and appreciation for all the moving parts that can make or break the machine that is your business.

Plus, in the world of 3PLs and contracted partners, we don't often "touch" the product at scale. We have our units in stock, and move pallets across North America, but there is something meaningful to be said about seeing and feeling your supply chain in action.

Business aren't built behind a computer, they're built brick by brick, in person -shaking hands, kissing babies and all things IRL.

Last week, I spent a few unforgettable days in Banff at The Gathering Festival and wow, the energy was through the roof, but the people were even better.

Most of my work trips usually revolve around trade shows where we’re laser-focused on landing new retail partners and growing distribution. 

But recently, I've ventured into some new territory to align more closely with what we value at No Days Wasted®; promoting balance, bringing people together, and truly experiencing life.

The Gathering was a perfect reflection of that.

We weren’t just there as attendees, NDW was proud to be one of the event’s official sponsors, alongside some incredible global brands. 

We were able to share our NDW products with hundreds of attendees, giving people a better way to celebrate, connect, and still feel their best the next morning.

Over just three days, Imran Amlani and I connected with more than 1,500 high-performing marketers, creators, founders, and operators. 

These are all people committed to holding themselves to a high standard in both their personal and professional lives.

We learned, we shared, and most importantly, we connected in real life.

I also had the chance to meet dozens of people I’ve known only through LinkedIn over the years, and nothing beats putting faces to names and sharing real conversations.

I had the pleasure of meeting Adam Waheed (AdamW), one of the most creative individuals on the internet.

Adam has built a massive global audience with over 65 million followers and more than a billion monthly views, creating some of the most unique, high-quality, and genuinely entertaining content out there.

But what stood out most wasn’t his numbers, it was him.

After his panel, I had the chance to chat with him one-on-one. No pitches. No egos. Just a real conversation about life.

He was humble, curious, kind, and genuinely interested in learning about me too.

Moments like that are a reminder: no matter how big someone’s following is, we’re all just people.

Always shoot your shot, not as a fan, but as a person.
