This started as the ultimate side hustle making coat hangers for fancy electric cars. Solved a very simple problem - where does someone who has a $100k+ EV hang their jacket? On the hook I invented. Sold enough of these bad boys for the Model S, then made ones for the Model X and was able to scale up to 25 products for the Model S, X and 3 and deliver those products to thousands of customers worldwide.

Worked on a lot of pre-construction projects to help image the subsurface without actually digging aka Geophysics aka sending waves through the ground and figuring out what they look like when they come back up. Projects ranged from site investigations, Ground Penetrating Radar surveys, down-hole seismic and shoring/excavation design. Basically the projects ended up becoming incredibly tedious and I felt like I was not growing anymore. I also had started a side hustle (EVitems®) shortly after joining, and grew it to a point where I was able to venture out on my own as an entrepreneur. Grateful for the experience and it truly helped shape my take on a 9-5 no longer being the "dream job" in my eyes.

I joined the company when they had almost no presence in Canada as a member of the original 8 team members in BC. I helped open the first store in Vancouver, educated a ton of people about electric cars, trained more people as we grew, helped open the first Tesla Supercharger in Canada (Squamish, BC), sold a ton of Teslas, helped coordinate and manage events, cruised around in a $100k+ premium electric car, and made very, very little money. I was drinking the kool-aid like everyone else, but shortly after graduating university, I realized my "dream job" was somewhere out there and that I should probably put my degree to use. Tesla was a great experience where I dealt with tons of people - both internally and externally and I wouldn't trade the experience for anything.

Running numbers here and I came across something pretty profound... here's our retail journey across North America so far No Days Wasted®

2018 - Crowdfunding through Indiegogo/Website sales only
2019 - Website + Amazon Sales
2020 - Online only! Started our rebrand to approach retail and add new SKUs.
2021 - ZERO stores (all online sales)

2022 - Landed our first 10 stores Central Market - Thank you to Lora Gonzalez Eckerle for believing in us early on - we truly had no idea what being retail-ready was, but it just takes 1 person/retailer to take that leap of faith to kickstart the journey. Big shoutout to Corey Jensen + Kimball Wilson for being our amazing catalysts out of the gate.

2023 - Jumped to ~750 stores. Landed amazing natural retailers like Bristol Farms (thank you Darren Viscount for your incredible support). 

2024 - Jumped to 1,500 stores & launched in Canadian retail with an amazing partner in Ecotrend Ecologics Ltd.. We launched in Walmart USA with an initial test of 270 stores, and with Safeway Sobeys in Canada.

2025 - We're set to be in 4,000+ stores by mid-2025! These multiple new national retail partners, increased store counts with some of the biggest retailers in the world and retailers through new channels/distributors.

2025 is setting out to be the biggest year of growth in company history, and we have an incredible opportunity on our hands that will take A-Player level execution to pull off.  We will be showcasing new innovation, further improved formulas, and pack sizes driven to fit the needs of consumers at all levels, so everyone can live that No Days Wasted life of balance and feeling their best.

Nick is the CEO of his own, fast growing tech startup called Vently - a community management platform based in the Bay Area and backed by some of the biggest VCs in the valley.

I’m a big believer in the idea that how you do anything is how you do everything.

A lot of people like to sit back, and not ask questions when given the opportunity - maybe they’re too cool, too shy, or just don’t have something to ask. If you fall into one of those buckets, dig deep and find out out you can move yourself out of them.

If you’re too shy — working on openers/get coached up on how to break that barrier

If you just don’t have questions — find ways to be more curious.

Every Tuesday, I challenge myself to see how many pull-ups I can complete in a 30-minute session. 

It’s a mental and physical test—just like business, it’s about showing up, pushing through, and staying consistent.

One of my great friends and business partners at our restaurant opening soon Susie's Rise & Dine can crank out 300 in one session, so the bar is high (literally).

Here’s how my progress has been shaping up: 105 reps → 120 → 130 → 140 → 151 → 158 → this week, 137.

Progress isn’t always linear—some weeks you push ahead, others you take a step back, only to leap forward later. That’s how growth works. 

Whether in business, fitness, or life, the key is to keep showing up and putting in the work.

Start Small, Go Hard.

Making your bed first thing in the morning isn’t about tidiness—it’s about wiring your brain for success and getting some momentum. 

That small win isn’t just psychological fluff; it sets the stage for something far more powerful.

The trick? Don’t stop at easy.

Right after that simple task, jump straight into something difficult—something you don’t want to do. A cold shower. A morning workout. That deep work project you’ve been putting off. 

Because this isn’t just about discipline—it’s about rewiring your brain.

The anterior cingulate cortex (ACC) is a part of your brain that literally grows when you consistently take on hard things. 

And here’s the kicker—research shows a better developed ACC is correlated with both a higher willingness to live and a longer lifespan.

Most people chase productivity by knocking out small tasks all day. That’s fine.

But real growth? That comes from the hard things. The tasks that require grit. The ones you want to avoid.

So get that first easy win—make your bed, brush your teeth, whatever. But then, lean into discomfort.
