I founded LazyThumbs at CIIE-IIMA to provide a marketing platform for retail stores & help them connect with shoppers. It eventually evolved into a concierge shopping service on chat. I shut it down for lack of a bigger purpose (and feeling stupid at building a free call center on chat). My experience from LazyThumbs led me to co-found Amicus Shopping Assistant which was born with the desire to provide fair value to online shoppers. Amicus built a kickass data pipeline and had considerable qualitative advantages over existing competitors. Amicus was acquired by Indiqus Technologies in early 2016 and I exited the company post-handover. During the AI/ML frenzy, I helped build Fragments - a bot that would remember everything you tell it & recall instantly on request. We built an API first platform & reached 12000+ organic users.
