My focus during these session lies in empowering CA students with the understanding of the immense power of communication and its impact on their professional development.

As a mentor, I am committed to addressing all aspects of their CA journey. and  sharing valuable tips and tricks for conquering the CA exams, I aim to equip them with the tools and knowledge they need to thrive. Having faced the challenges of the CA path myself, I can relate to their struggles and aspirations.

In essence, I see this as my way of giving back to a profession that has given me so much.

The challenges of being a Manager, especially in a global firm like EY, are diverse and dynamic.

The responsibilities that came with this position were vast but one aspect that stood out as both crucial and challenging was people management. 

A Manager is entrusted with guiding, motivating, and leading a team to achieve the desired outcomes. While technical expertise is vital, it is the ability to effectively manage people that truly differentiates an exceptional Manager from a good one.

Managing a team of 70 plus individuals was an eye-opening experience for me. It became evident that the magnitude of my role extended far beyond my technical expertise. However this responsibly gave me the skills to manage people and ensure that the team consistently delivers high-quality work as per project requirements and client expectations

Why ?

One of the key challenges in this position is striking a balance between managing juniors and meeting the high expectations set by senior management. 

As an Assistant Manager you are expected to be the primary point of contact for clients and as a result responsible for overseeing project execution and ensuring that all aspects of a project align with the agreed-upon strategy.

Navigating the intricacies of client interactions requires exceptional communication and relationship-building capabilities, on the other hand the ability to identify and mitigate potential risks in a business requires a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills with a a deep understanding of the business landscape. 

I have had the opportunity to working closely with multinational companies and gain valuable insights into their unique processes , understanding how CFOs and Audit Partners interpret financial data and make strategic decisions was a profound experience that broadened my perspective on business dynamics.

Moreover, my exposure to The Companies Act 2013, IFRS, Auditing Standards and Ind-AS allowed me to assess and analyze the reliability and fairness of financial statements. This rigorous assessment process further enhanced my understanding of financial risks and financial reporting standards. 

Working in such a dynamic and challenging environment taught me the importance of organization and time management. Meeting tight deadlines and handling multiple projects simultaneously became second nature, strengthening my ability to perform under pressure. I am grateful for the opportunity and the learning received from EY.

"Embracing the unknown with courage"

Transitioning from a mid-sized firm to a giant multinational like Ernst & Yong was a life-changing experience.  The new, dynamic and highly organized environment challenged me in ways I had never imagined. 

Additionally, relocating to Mumbai, the city of dreams, exposed me to a vibrant culture and a diverse group of people , everything was new and unknown from my personal life to professional life. There were moments when I felt overwhelmed, doubting if I could keep up with the pace and expectations. But I had no choice but to persevere, and I am glad I did. 

The city of Mumbai embraced me with open arms, offering opportunities to explore and embrace its vibrant spirit. I was learning in every aspect of my life.

EY provided an exposure to the multinationals which broadened my horizons, enabling me to understand global perspectives and collaborate with professionals from diverse backgrounds. EY provided me an opportunity to work in diverse industries from manufacturing and service sector spanning from automobile, auto components, cements manufacturing, chemicals, pharmaceutical, FMCG, Software, service industry which helped me to understand how does actually a business function and how beautifully it is all interlinked, coordinated and organized.

I learnt how SOPs serve as the backbone of an organization, guiding its daily processes and activities. They provide a standardized framework that enhances efficiency, minimizes errors, and enables seamless collaboration among teams. Witnessing the impact of well-defined SOPs firsthand, I realized how crucial they are in maintaining consistency across diverse business functions how it contributes significantly in the growth of an organization.

Today, I am thankful for the invaluable experiences that have led me to understand the essence of  Big companies and the pivotal role of management in bringing all the pieces together.

I was always drawn to the idea of becoming a better speaker and presenter. The idea of delivering impactful speeches, captivating an audience, and conveying my ideas with clarity always excited me. 

My passion for public speaking led me to Toastmasters, a transformative platform where I honed my public speaking skills and developed into a more confident and effective communicator.

Toastmasters proved to be a perfect platform to meet like minded people eager to improve communications skills. The well structured Toastmaster meetings provides members with valuable feedback and constructive criticism that becomes a stepping stone for personal growth.

The learning I acquired at Toastmasters has had a profound impact on my professional life and helped me standout during my training sessions and client presentations. Standing before an audience no longer feels daunting, instead, it feels like an opportunity to connect, engage, and leave a lasting impression.

Internships I believe serve as a gateway to practical learning providing a platform to apply theoretical knowledge to real life situations.
My three years of Internship at SJK played a pivotal role in shaping my career and gave me an opportunity to delve into the practical side of business, gaining invaluable insights into the operations of midsized CA Firms and SME Business in India , along with the challenges they face.
 
My Internship helped in giving me valuable fundamental knowledge of Accounting, Audit, Indirect & Direct Tax Matters taken care in the SME Business environment.

SJK helped me to connect with people who are practicing Chartered Accountants and little did I know that this network would play a vital role in my journey of starting my own business later on.
 
Looking back, I must admit that during my initial days at SJK, I wasn't entirely sure of what I would gain from this internship , However as time passed now it all make sense and and I am so grateful for this opportunity.
