Here’s what I’ve learned writing for 35+ founders:

You don’t need a powerful story.
You just need a specific one.

1) Instead of saying: “Practice patience.”
Say: “A toddler tying their own shoes taught me more than any book.”

2) Instead of writing: “Why self-awareness matters.”
Say: “I once forgot my own birthday. That’s when I knew something was off.”

It’s not about being personal for the sake of it.

But anchoring abstract advice in real, simple moments:

→ A mistake you made.
→ A habit that changed.
→ A tiny detail people don’t forget.

That’s what earns trust.
That’s what gets remembered.

That’s what makes someone send you a DM and say, “I’ve been thinking about this all week.”

Storytelling isn’t a content style.
