Senior Software Development Manager

Hired as the lead backend developer for the London & Partners websites, including VisitLondon.

Initially working onsite in the London office, continued my role remotely from November 2012.

Senior Software Engineer

United Business Media

Hired to lead the development of the UBM Medica flagship websites at the initial stages of their migration to the Liferay Portal Framework.

I worked closely with an outsourced team during the migration of both sites to the new platform and subsequently took ownership of the design and development of the new requirements, customising the out-of-the-box functionality to match business needs.

My role extended to mentoring new developers and taking responsibility for managing the releases of code to production.

Software Developer

I was in charge of developing the custom in-house CMS. Working with the internal stakeholders, I designed and implemented a range of features that improved the team efficiency in solving customers and labels' queries. I also worked on various API integrations to gather information about artists and releases.

My favourite project was the scoping, design and development of the site’s search using Hibernate Search, Lucene and Solr and configuring it to work asynchronously in a master-slave cluster.
