This week has been a lot.

I know it is only Wednesday, but I have already had the kind of week where your mind keeps running long after the laptop is closed. 😄

So I decided to try something different to destress.
I bought this colour by number set and spent some quiet time filling in the squares with some calming music in the background. I love sounds. Anything around lake/water sounds. 

It turns out it is strangely calming.

What I like most is the process.
You follow the numbers one square at a time, and slowly the picture starts to come together.

Sometimes we underestimate how important it is to intentionally slow ourselves down.
We talk a lot about productivity, performance, and pushing forward. 
But rarely about the small things that help us reset so we can think clearly again.

For me this week, it was colouring.
Nothing fancy, just a quiet way to destress and give my mind a little breathing room.

I woke up this morning feeling like a 100.😊

You know those days when your mind is clear, your energy is high, and you are genuinely excited for the week ahead.

But if I am being honest, not every morning feels like that.
Some days you wake up feeling like a 50, other mornings, it's closer to a 30.

One thing I have learned over the years is that the number does not really matter.
What matters is showing up with the best version of yourself that you have available that day, still moving things forward.

If I had to start all over again as a business owner, these are the things I would do differently.

• I would build systems before scaling
• I would establish roles before adding more staff
• I would focus on fewer numbers but the right ones
• I would plan on a quarterly basis rather than operating on a daily basis
• I would protect thinking time as much as working time

Business will be easier when it stops operating out of memory and out of urgency.

Most entrepreneurs don’t need more motivation, they need more structure to support their decisions.

Sometimes one clear number can completely change how you run your business.

Joy matters too.

This photo was taken at a book launch/Conference surrounded by the brightest yellow you can imagine. A colour that practically forces you to smile.

And honestly, that’s how I think life and business should feel sometimes.

Not just pressure.
Not just goals.

But joy, laughter, good people, and meaningful conversations.

Because if we’re building businesses but forgetting how to laugh along the way…
