I rethink data and tech by providing perspectives from Library and Information Science. In my new book Fundamentals of Metadata Management (O'Reilly, 2025) I out forward a completely new architecture for metadata that I call the Meta Grid. I have previously published The Enterprise Data Catalog (O'Reilly, 2023), that established me as a globally recognized thought leader on data catalogs and enterprise data management. I consult for numerous companies, mostly large, European companies with significant technical complexity. I have a BA, MA, and PhD from the University of Copenhagen, in Library- and Information Science.
