I was born in Medellín, Colombia But I was raised in New York City by a single mom who taught me how to navigate the world with resilience, faith, and fire.

For over 20 years, I served as the strategic right hand to C-suite executives across global banks, hedge funds, and private equity firms.

Not just calendars
I managed crisis response, investor communications, board prep, operations, and multi-million-dollar logistics.
I had a front-row seat to how power moves and I learned how to move with it.

But after years of building other people’s legacies, I knew it was time to build my own.

Today, I’m the Founder of Ola Executive Consulting Services 
A strategy firm dedicated to helping small businesses grow, get visible, and access opportunities in both public and private sectors.

💼 We specialize in:

	•	Certifications (MBE, DBE, WBE, SAM, etc.) as part of a broader growth plan

What drives me isn’t just strategy its purpose.

I’ve dedicated my career to creating pathways for diverse businesses, helping them break barriers, achieve certification, and access opportunities previously out of reach. My work focuses on driving measurable results for clients by building sustainable growth strategies and fostering meaningful partnerships.

I am committed to closing the wealth gap, one business at a time. Whether working with Fortune 500 companies, government entities, or small businesses, my goal is to ensure that underrepresented entrepreneurs have the tools, knowledge, and resources to thrive.

As a board member of the Society of American Military Engineers Tampa Post and the National Association of Women Business Owners Greater Tampa Bay Chapter, I actively promote community development and advocate for greater representation in business. My volunteer work extends globally, from building classrooms in Africa and Nicaragua to supporting local initiatives that address food insecurity and education.

The hardest lesson I had to learn…

I thought I was losing everything.
But really… I was being redirected.

Truth is:

I’ve been having this conversation with my daughter a lot lately.

Her generation is terrified to fail.
And honestly, I get it.

Everything feels public now.
Every mistake gets magnified.
Every misstep feels permanent.

But I keep reminding her
failure isn’t final.
It’s feedback.
It’s proof that you tried.

And the truth is… most people don’t fail at building something new.
They just never start.

Because staying where you are feels safer than stepping into the unknown.

I thought success meant grinding harder.

But no matter how hard I worked
the results didn’t match the effort.
Because I wasn’t just exhausted…
I was misaligned.

When I aligned my:

* Beliefs

…everything changed.

His phone rang during my interview.
The Narcos theme song.

I had just told him I was from Colombia.

He looked at me.
Smiled.
Let it play.

Then laughed.

I smiled back.
And took the job anyway.

Why?

Because at that stage of my life:
Kids needed food.
Bills needed paying.
Survival came before discernment.

For 8 months, that ringtone echoed through the office.

In meetings.
On calls.
At events.

Every note reminding me:

I ignored a red flag.
I minimized my instincts.
I accepted what I should’ve rejected.

Not because I was weak 
but because I was trying to keep my family afloat.

And that’s the part we don’t talk about enough:
Sometimes we don’t choose what’s “right.”
We choose what keeps us alive.

But that experience changed everything for me.

It taught me to trust my gut.
It taught me that misalignment is expensive.
It taught me that disrespect is the loudest red flag of all.

Today, my company has one non-negotiable:

Respect. Every hire. Every client. Every decision.

That ringtone still haunts me 
but now it reminds me who I’ll never be,
and what I’ll never tolerate.

Because how people treat you in the beginning
is exactly how they’ll treat you in the end.

Today is one of my favorite Colombian holidays by far 
Día de las Velitas.

And even though I’m in the U.S., my heart is in Colombia tonight…
because the entire country will be glowing.
Sidewalks lit up. Families gathered.
Buñuelos, natilla, and the quiet wishes we don’t say out loud.

As a little girl, this was such a special night, lighting candles with my family and believing a small flame could guide us into something better.

But as adults, we know something deeper:

We don’t just light candles for what we want.
We light them for what we survived.
And for what we refuse to carry into 2026.

Because most of us aren’t held back by a lack of talent or opportunity.
We’re held back by:

🕯 Fear
🕯 Self-doubt
🕯 Overthinking
🕯 Exhaustion
🕯 Comparison
🕯 Perfectionism
🕯 People-pleasing
🕯 Playing small

These are the real things that dim our light.

So tonight, as Colombia shines,
I’m lighting MY candles for the words I am carrying into 2026:
