Based in our Frankfurt office, I legally advise companies of all sizes on IT and New Technology issues. Our clients range from banks and FinTechs to private equity firms, public sector entities and tech companies. I assist our clients in drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex IT-related contracts, complying with regulatory requirements for outsourcing in the financial sector, and dealing with IT disputes arising from (alleged) improper performances. My expertise is particularly focused on innovative and data-driven business models – such as cloud technology, Big Data, the Internet of Things, and anything-as-a-service solutions (XaaS). A particular interest I have in (generative) Artificial Intelligence, where I help companies develop or implement legally compliant AI solutions and prepare them for important upcoming regulations – such as the European AI Act. Further, I explore the legal frameworks surrounding the video game industry and the Metaverse (Gaming & Law) and actively promote the integration of new technologies into our firm's legal advice (Legal Tech). To share my insights and keep others informed, I regularly present and publish on all of the above topics.
