Social Development Partners [SDP] is a social enterprise based in Stourbridge /UK founded by Jean Claude Kabuiku and Oliver Glendenning in 2017 to provide quality and affordable building solutions in developing / African countries and leverage on the available pool of young and untapped labour market. Using manual hand powered equipment, SDP will be producing building materials, different tiles, slabs, blocks and bricks, garden decorative, houses designs and building trainings. While the business will provide solutions for the poor to move from slums to decent and affordable shelters, the jobs creation during the process will have systemic impact for local communities and young unemployed.
This venture is about the use of commercial logics and strategies to achieve social and/or environmental aims. SDP has built strategic partnerships between the public and business sectors, applying business models and planning to achieve both financial returns and social impact within the next 5 years.
